Here some other informations about our property: Our farmhouse is located in the very heart of Chianti Classico area, halfway between Siena (25 km) and Florence (35km), very close to San Gimignano,Castellina in Chianti,Monteriggioni etc. All the shopping and leisure facilities ( tennis courts,soccer fields,gyms,theatre,supermarkets,bowling,pubs,restaurants,bars etc) are in Poggibonsi only 2,5 – 4 km away.There is also a train station and a bus stop in Poggibonsi with trains and buses leadind to Siena and to Florence The property is located upon a beautiful hill within a huge natural resort (restocking game reserve for pheasants,hares and wild boars). The farm belongs to my family since 1970 and we have always been producing extra vergine olive oil and Chianti wine from the 23 ha. surrounding the property. Since 13 years ,following the great passion that handed on from generation to generation,we have also been breeding trotter horses,besides La Moraia offers also the opportunity for our guests to put their horses to board, or to visit our paddocks and stables .The apartments have been decorated and furnished in the traditional tuscan style,but at the same time offer all modern facilities such as central heating ,microwave,fireplace,digital TV 22’’ inches,dishwasher,fridge,american coffee machine,outdoor barbecues,mountainbikes. If you wish to rent bikes, we collaborate with a bike rental http://www.ciclosportporciatti.biz/ that by previous detailed request ( type of bike, height of the person,type of gear shift, accessories needed) can bring the bikes in La Moraia on day of arrival.But I suggest you to book them personally in the shop. During the good weather season we organize ( according to weather) typical tuscan dinners and tapas night ( aperitivi) once a week only for our guest. ( we present the dates and the menus on arrival, and ask our guests to book at least one day in advance). Besides there are several restaurants,trattorias,bars and pizzerias within 3 km in Poggibonsi. The ground offers tranquillity and an extensive view accross the beautiful Chianti hills and further boast a 7x14 meters swimming pool for the exclusive use of our guests. Pool is open daily ONLY during the summer A car is highly recommended to explore the chianti region besides there are no public transports from La Moraia and the center of poggibonsi ca 3 kms away. You can find cheap car rentals in easyterra and enoleggioauto websites.
