This is a much loved, gloriously spacious, dog friendly stone barn conversion set within the fabulous Stoneleigh Knowle countryside estate. It is just 10mins drive to the beach at Widemouth Bay and the charming coastal town of Bude. The property has one lovely double bedroom with king-size bed, and a separate 'cot room' which makes this a perfect place to stay for a couple or those travelling with a baby. Beautiful countryside views and easy access by car to shops, beaches and restaurants. The space Our 'Romantic Rural Retreat' , The Mill , exudes a wonderful tranquillity. Nestled in the peace of the countryside, hidden down a mile long drive, within a large private courtyard containing only two other cottages, it is surrounded by some amazing wildlife yet it is easily accessible by car ( 10mins) or bike to numerous beautiful beaches, shops and eateries. Guests will have access to the entire cottage: The upstairs king-size bedroom and 'cot room' with travel cot offer the perfect retreat after a day filled with fresh air and adventure. The vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and skylights offer a unique cosy charm. The bathroom boasts both a walk in shower and a luxurious roll top bath with plenty of space to give you a sense of luxury as you pamper. The very large open plan living area with huge window overlooking the estate's meadows offers a comfortable place to relax and unwind by the log burner or watch the Free-Sat 55" TV ( now different from that shown in the photos). There is plenty of space to dine and in the well-equipped kitchen you should find everything that a home from home should have; a fridge with freezer compartment , a washing machine, dishwasher, an electric range oven, a microwave and plenty of pots, pans and utensils to cook with. Super-fast Wi-Fi and a dedicated desk space enable guests to stay connected during their stay. We provide guests with a complimentary basket of logs for the log burner during the winter months (Nov-Feb).Additional logs cab be purchased from various garages and shops in town. . The cottage is dog friendly allowing up to 2 dogs to stay. Please note our 'dog rules' in our property rules and ensure you have added them on to the booking. Outside there is a private enclosed garden where guests will find a Webber charcoal BBQ , table and chairs and a washing line. There is also an open communal garden and a table tennis table in the shared courtyard. Guests are invited to enjoy the estate's private woodland walks and wildflower meadow. You will have the whole cottage all to yourselves. We won't disturb you but we can be easily contacted if you have any problems during your stay. I love the tranquillity of this location, so peaceful but without feeling cut off due to the road access back to the A39. We feel it is quick to get to the shops and restaurants and then to come back to the bliss of a perfect retreat. I adore watching the incredible wildlife from deer and hare to barn owls and butterflies.
