STL license HI - 30389 -F Guest access It's all yours. Other things to note Je parle le français. (J'ai grandi à Genève). Parlo Italiano. (Ho studiato a Firenze e a Urbino). - Eating out and local walking: read my Airbnb guidebooks. - Nearest petrol station is at the co-op in Broadford. - Electric car charging station at An Crubh, one mile away. - Local community run convenience 7 day shop with post office and banking at An Crubh 2 miles away and in Ardvarsar. - Car hire. Armadale Garage is an excellent family run business (for repairs too). There is a GP ( doctor) surgery in Kilmuir, Sleat Medical Practice, Tel: 01471 844283 and also Broadford. - If visiting during the summer you will need midge spray if out in the evenings or in still misty weather. All local shops stock a brand called Smidge which also protects against deer ticks. - For weather and for tidal information to visit Skye's great beaches/ shoreline it is useful to download a telephone app called "WillyWeather" which is really easy to use. Skye's beaches/ rocky shore are submerged at high tide. If hanging out down one end of a beach or walking a rocky shore it is easy to get inadvertently cut-off when the tide is just half way in as the sea doesn't rise in a straight line. Always keep an eye on an exit route.
