Yurt @ La Taillede, Pyrenean hill farm with pool

Our yurt sits in it's own private field, about 250 metres from the main house. La Taillede is an ancient Catalan farm house at 950m altitude. We have our own organic garden, chickens, 2 pigs, 5 donkeys, a horse, 2 dogs & 4 cats, and a few sheep. We also have a beautiful large pool (12 m x 6m) and a playground. The yurt is a perfect romantic getaway or family holiday, for lovers of nature and mountains, but also enjoy sleeping in a comfortable bed with beautiful decor. The space The yurt is a perfect spot for a couple or family; complete privacy, with plenty of living space for everyone. There is a big South facing terrace with amazing views, and a shaded kitchen area beside the yurt. You might chose to dine in the kitchen area, on the terrace or inside the yurt. The shower and toilet are beside the kitchen; all home made out of our own wood. There is also a private custom made wooden paddling pool to cool off in; great for young kids. There are hammocks in the trees for your own personal use and a BBQ and fire pit to sit around in the evenings. There are deck chairs on the terrace for taking in the view. Guest access Yurt guests have their own field, and private kitchen, bathroom, terrace, firepit and BBQ. There is also a hammock under the trees for your private use. The playground and pool is shared with our other guests. Guests are invited to visit the animals and help with daily feeding etc should they wish. You can walk to the river (with pools) in 30 minutes, or take a short drive. There is a wonderful masseuse and energy healer on site, who will come to the yurt for your treatment you should you wish. Other things to note This is an eco farm; we take care of our environment and are animals and we hope anyone staying here will do the same. We can provide you with information on walking, running and mountain biking routes, as well as interesting places to visit. We are in the middle of a large bird sanctuary. You are likely to see Eagles, Vultures and Hawks, Woodpeckers, and Wrens and Robins are everywhere! If you are hiking, you will probably see Wild Boar, Roe Deer and the illusive Pyrenean Isard. Our water comes out of our own mountain spring and is the best water you will taste. Please don't buy bottled water!
