Paradise awaits, our cozy, coastal self-contained cottage is ideally located, in a central, quiet and peaceful area and handy to the beach. Overlooking the Lake, it is perfect for a weekend getaway or longer to explore the Coromandel. A short stroll, Cooks is a beautiful sandy beach, very safe for swimming with many other stunning beaches nearby. Cooks Beach is made famous because Captain James Cook sailed on the HMS Endeavour into Mercury Bay in 1769 and anchored at Cooks Beach off Purangi. The space Amuri is a modern, self-contained cottage with great views to the lake. In a very peaceful location to relax and unwind, it is a short stroll to our beautiful sandy beach, which is very safe for swimming. There is an outdoor shower for your use when coming in from the beach. It has a queen bed, well equipped kitchenette, separate shower, toilet & vanity. Sliding doors open on to a deck with views of our Lake, an outdoor BBQ and an Air Fryer are available for your exclusive use. You are within walking distance to the local shops which include a restaurant, liquor store, takeaway food bar, dairy and hardware store. Ferry Landing and the ferry to Whitianga are also within walking distance (approx. 20-30 minutes' walk or a leisurely half hour stroll with cafe en route). Guest access A self-contained studio with private access and parking available. A gas BBQ and an Air Fryer are available for your exclusive use and equipment is provided. An easy walk to local shops and amenities. Access to world famous Cathedral Cove is only a ten minute drive away and we can advise you of the options for this visit. Hot Water Beach is close by, you can dig your own spa pool in the sand (either side of low tide) & we provide you with a spade for your convenience. Beach towels are also provided. Other things to note Health and safety are important to us and our cottage is cleaned and sanitized to Air Bnb's recommended standard between each stay.
