Ebay Guest House is one of the few locally owned surf camps on the island of Pulau Masokut(sometimes Nyang-Nyang) island. Our goal is to give you an affordable surf trip of your life time in an authentic Mentawai atmosphere. You can access more than 15 world class surf spots from our location. You can walk to five different spots by walking from our camp. One of these spots is always consistent, no matter what month you decide to come. We offer an all-inclusive package with all meals included. The space We accommodate 2-10 people at our surf camp at each time. You will sleep in one of our bungalows. We provide you with a mosquito net and a fan. There is a shared toilet and a shower behind our bungalows. What’s included? - Pickup in Siberut island when you arrive. Drop off in Siberut when you leave. - Three meals each day of your stay. Our guests have been very happy with our menu of fresh chicken, fish, rice, potatoes, sauces and vegetables. Food is the top thing mentioned in our reviews. -black coffee, tea, and drinking water -Coconuts (We don’t ever run out since the island is full of coconut trees. Beware! they are an actual hazard!) Guest access You are free to use our facilities and roam around the beautiful island. Our camp consist of a little shop, dining/hanging out area, 4 bungalows (for 1-4 people each), and a shared toilet. We provide linens, pillows and blankets. Beds have mosquito nets and fans. Electricity is available from 7pm to 7am. You can walk to five different surf-spots from our camp. Ebay, Pitstop, Beng-Beng, Bankvaults and Nipussi. These spots are facing different directions so that you will have good waves on most swells, winds and seasons. You can rent our speedboat for a full day to access to a total of 15 spots like Nokandui, 4bobs, Aframes, Rifles, Pistols, Karambat, Hideaways, Eret and burgerworld. Depending on the boat you can share it with 5-6 people and the cost is Rp.1.500.000-2.000.000 per boat. Other things to note To reach us you should fly to the city of Padang. Connections are from KL and Jakarta. Usually you need to stay overnight in Padang and take the boat the next morning. Mentawai Fast leaves from Padang to Siberut 7.00am on tuesdays, thursdays and saturdays. Our guests usually stay in eiter Yani Homestay (cheap backpacker-style hostel) or Deivan Hotel (nicer facilities, private bathroom with hot running water etc.). We will be waiting for your arrival in Siberut, and take you to Masokut from there with our speedboat. Drop-off and pick-up are included in the price. Other costs to consider: Mentawai Fast ticket (300k IDR per person + boardbag by weight starting at 230k) Regional Law No.08, Nov 25 Year 2015, states that foreign surfing visitors must pay a surfing tourism tax equivalent to Rp.1.000.000idr per maximum 15 day stay (extendable). Our speedboat can be rented for a full day to make two surf trips for Rp.1.500.000. You can fit 5 people in the boat. It is possible to walk to 5 known spots from our camp without the boat, but you can reach 15 different spots with the speedboat. We have a little shop in our camp. You can buy small snacks, Bintang, ciggies, white koffie, and even surfboards. It’s also not uncommon for the Mentawai people to come around to show guests their art carved from wood.
