La Grange, rural peace and tranquillity.

We offer our guests a lot of peace and tranquility in a beautiful natural historically protected environment (Saut de la Mounine), authentic stonewall houses from 1885, a "private" swimming pool, private parking, a playground, garden furniture, barbecues etc. On the property there are several vegetable gardens and a herb garden, also at the guests disposal, seasonal vegetables when available and even a few fresh eggs from our chickens. Meals can be provided on request. The space Situated on the border of the department Aveyron and department Lot, three fully renovated stone build lodges are available for a lovely quiet holiday. La Grange is a 3 story stone house built in the regional style, with the bottom floor built into the rocks. This is where the main entrance is located. On this floor you will find the bathroom with toilet, shower and washbasin and a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove and oven, refrigerator and dining table. A wooden open staircase on your left leads to the 1st floor where the living room is located. A large cosy room with dining table, library, fireplace and a sofa bed that can be setup to serve as double bed. this floor also has an exit at street level. Another open wooden staircase leads to the top floor. here under the wooden beams of the roof you will find a kingsize bed and 2 single beds. this room is equipped with a mobile airconditioning unit. Via the kitchen you have acces to the patio with a lovely (private) terrace and a bbq setup. The lodges are all on the same property, but are positioned so that each house has a lot of privacy. The lodges can be rented each separate or all together. The domain of Mas de Galy is situated on the edge of the village Saujac in the natural and cultural-historical surrounding of "Saut de la Mounine". The lodges of Mas de Galy share the garden and natural swimming pond. The lodges are located at walking distance, about 500 metres from the river Lot with a lovely beach and walking and hiking trails start at the door. Each lodge is furnished and equipped with a fitted kitchen (with utensils, oven and dishwasher), furnished bedrooms with bedlinnen and towels provided, bathroom, library, hi-fi system (Radio, CD) and terrace/balcony furniture and bbq. Each private terrace or balcony offers a view on the private swimming pond or the castle of Mont brun against the northern cliffs of the gorges of the river Lot. At 5 kilometres from Saujac, downsteam the river le Lot is the ancient town of Cajarc offering shops (supermarket, mini-market, local markets on Wednesday and Friday), restaurants with terraces, a museum, and a tourist information office. It is possible for us to organise kayak trips there and even do a descent on the river with transportation to and from. Meals can be provided on request. the three lodges together also offer a wonderful accommodation to a group or families allied with each other (up to 20 adults). Guest access With us you can enjoy the entire site together with the other guests. The herb garden, the swimming pool (above ground 4x2m ) and the various dining and BBQ areas are accessible to all guests. Other things to note This house has 3 floors, with 2 steep stairs in between. The bedroom is at the top floor and the bathroom with toilet on the bottom floor, please take this into concideration if you have small children or have elderly or people that have difficulty walking in your company. We can serve you a housemade breakfast with home made bread, pastries, d'orange juice, different jams, cheese, bacon and eggs. Other meals can be served on request, for example we can prepare you a lovely 3 course dinner for you to finish or put together on your arrival and dine at your own tempo. When we have new photos we will post them here. during the renovation of our natural swimming pond, we will install an above-ground swimming pool for the necessary cooling.
