The Eco-Friendly Cabin

Renovated space in rural location, walking distance from Traught beach, pier & pub. Located on a peninsula that has stunning views of the Burren and Galway Bay Situated along the Wild Atlantic Way & within easy driving distance of attractions such as The Burren Perfumery & National Park, Cliffs of Moher, Ailwee Caves, Lahinch Beach Less than 10 minutes drive from the picturesque seaside village of Kinvara with shops, pubs, cafes & restaurants 50min drive to Shannon airport &40min to Galway City The space This space is located in our front garden. It has a narrow covered deck running its length and a small outside space to its side. It has one bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, living/lounging area with wood burning stove, and a small toilet/shower room. The toilet is a composting type, called a Separett Villa (check it out online). Hot water is instant, and the shower is good. There is no TV We do have free WiFi however the signal can be very weak and it's a bit slow at times. Note: Our family is regularly outside playing in the garden and can make noise. Guest access We kindly ask you to park outside the driveway to avoid blocking access. There is adequate space for one car. The Cabin is located on a boreen (narrow country road). The shoreline is a 5 minute walk away. The local roads are small. Lovely to walk, cycle, explore. Traffic is light, but there could be tractors and/or farm machinery on the road. Be safe be seen. We will leave you in peace but if you need anything please feel free to come to us and ask. Other things to note We are Eco-friendly because we have put much effort in using natural and organic products in renovating as well as reusing and recycling to create this unique space: Converted mobile home (low ceiling height) Sheeps wool insulated Responsibly sourced and recycled wood Preloved oven and diswasher (expect signs of use) Eco non toxic paints, oils, varnish etc. Separett Villa composting toilet system (equipped with a fan that draws out moisture and air)
