Situated on a working farm in an elevated position above the Vale of Strathmore, Ardormie Farm Cottage is an ideal base to relax and explore this wonderful area of Scotland. The cottage is light and airy with open views over the countryside. The space A cottage in the countryside with wide open views. Ardormie Farm Cottage is cosy in the winter and has a great little patio for sitting outside in the summer. Everything you need is right here; a double bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower overhead, cosy sitting/dining room and a little kitchen fully equipped with cooker, fridge, microwave and all you need to make your stay just perfect. We have just installed a new biomass boiler so the heating is provided from an entirely renewable energy source. Radiators have been fitted throughout and there is a thermostatic temperature control so you can set the temperature to suit. There is a washer/drier and outside in the steading the wood pellet boiler is heating a drying room which you are welcome to use for any wet outdoor gear. The cottage is on a working farm. There are sheep, cattle and working sheep dogs.. The surrounding countryside is what you would expect of rural Perthshire - mountains, lochs, stunning views, rich history, peace and quiet. This is a great place to be based as there is much to explore. The place is yours to enjoy. I live next door and I'm really happy to help with any questions you may have, there is also lots of local information available in the cottage. Although, sometimes I'm not at home, maybe I'm off staying in an Airbnb somewhere else! Guest access Guests have access to some wonderful open countryside. The Cateran Trail goes right through the farm and offers good, well-marked walking routes. The cottage has its own garden but there are no fences and guests are welcome to use the trampoline and the washing green. Other things to note It is peaceful and quiet and dark at night; no street lamps, very little traffic just the Milky Way and some bleating sheep! We have an EV charger which guests are welcome to use. The charger does not accept any payment cards but it is open and ready to use. Electricity is charged at £0.50 per unit and at the end of your stay you can pay by cash, card (I have Tap and Pay on my phone), bank transfer or money request. Registration Details PK11119F
