Tree Farm Shepherds Hut, near Perranporth

Designed for those who love the great outdoors but like their creature comforts, our shepherds hut is a little slice of luxury with a king size bed, thermostatic heating and en suite shower room. Sited with unspoilt views down a seaward valley guests are welcome to enjoy our 14 acre farm, which includes a wildflower meadow, woodland and a river. An outdoor kitchen, rose garden and an orchard of Cornish apple varieties, complete with free range chickens, are all available for guests to use. The space Our shepherds hut is sited peacefully under a mature ash tree with beautiful views down a rural wooded valley. The hedges and woods are alive with bird song, and you can stroll straight out of the hut to explore our 14 acre farm, complete with wildflower meadow, wet woodland and a gently flowing river. Our fields lead on to a network of footpaths and bridleways, perfect for walkers and nature lovers. We include a folder of local walks and suggested days out, perfect for those with or without dogs to explore. Suitable for two people, the hut has a comfortable king size bed, kitchen, and an en suite shower room. For the true luxurious glamping experience the hut has mains water, electricity, wifi, flat screen TV, thermostatic heating and a heated towel rail in the bathroom. If you love al fresco cooking and dining the hut has its own gravelled seating area with a fire pit, or you can use the outdoor kitchen which sits in our orchard of traditional Cornish apple varieties, just a 40m walk across the hut field. The outdoor kitchen has a large BBQ and a pizza oven. Once you've cooked your feast enjoy it sat in our beautifully scented rose garden, or how about wandering down to the riverside at the bottom of the farm, where you may be joined by a heron or even an otter! Our farm is conveniently sited a 2 minute drive from the village of Goonhavern and a 5 minute drive from the small seaside town of Perranporth. If you'd rather leave the car behind both Goonhavern and Perranporth can be accessed on foot using a tranquil network of footpaths and byways, within 20 minutes and 40 minutes respectively. We also have three pubs within a 20 minute walk and you'll find a walk pack within the hut on arrival to help with your adventures! Guest access As the hut is nestled in one of our fields you may see us walking around the farm to feed our horses and chickens, or walk our dogs. The hut has its own outdoor seating area with bean bags, a table and chairs and a firepit. Guests are also very welcome to use our outdoor kitchen, complete with BBQ and pizza oven, rose garden, orchard and sunny gravel garden. Other things to note Tea, ground coffee and cooking oil are provided, and we'll always try to welcome you with some home made cake (if you'd like vegan or gluten free cake it's no problem, just let us know). We are vegan friendly and do not raise any farm animals on our smallholding, our chickens are rescued from commercial flocks and are kept as egg laying pets. There is a well-equipped shop and a pub in Goonhavern village which is 20 minute off road walk away, or 2 minutes in the car. There are two further pubs within easy walking distance, perfect if you'd like to leave the car behind. Our farm has electric gates and you can park your car at the top of our private drive, approximately 40m from the hut. There is a trolley to help move your luggage, if required. Please bring your own beach towels. You may also find a torch handy. The hut is not suitable for families due to its size, unless you have a babe in arms who co-sleeps with you. One or two dogs are welcome as long as they’re friendly. You will need to keep your dog/s on a lead on the farm as we keep horses. Our local network of footpaths and byways are perfect for countryside walks, or stretch your legs a little further and you'll reach Perranporth, with its 3 miles of golden sandy beach, and the South West Coast Path approximately 40 minutes walk away.
