The space This beautiful apartment has stunning rare original features. The previous tenant went on to become a Turner prize winning artist. The young Princess Diana lived at the top of my street and two doors' down from the apartment is a famous actor. It is a charming area, safe and very very chelsea. The bedrooms overlook gardens so in the morning you wake up to see trees and sky (if you leave the blinds open) and at night its is quiet for a zone one central london location because the back gardens back onto more gardens. The front lounge overlooks a quieter street - but 2 minutes up the road is the bustling Old Brompton Road and 6 mins down the road is the lively Hollywood Road with bars and restaurants, and Fulham Road with clubs and more restaurants. Shoppers will need to hit Harvey Nichols and Harrods up the road in Knightsbridge, the boutiques on Kings Road or High Street Kensington or the enormous Westfield mall a bus ride away. There is also fringe theatre above a pub on the next street finborough road, and the local bands at troubadour 5 minutes walk away where Jimi Hendrix and Dylan played in the 60s (it hasn't changed). The museums are all a ten minute stroll away in south kensington (Victoria & Albert, Science museum, Natural History Museum) and the Saatchi gallery is close by at Sloane Square. There are some easy stairs up to the building but no stairs to my apartment it is on the upper ground floor set away from the street above eye level and very safe. The bedrooms each have a double bed. The master bedroom is spacious, the second bedroom is snug. Both have one clothing hanging rail with hangers for your clothes, and reading lamps. Each bedroom has its own fresh linen, towels, and a hair drier. Guest access Access to the kitchen with its microwave, rice cooker, fridge, crockery etc. The bathroom with power shower. My library - feel free to read my books on the shelves but please return them before you leave. The quiet bedrooms also features a new bed with serene views over the garden. The garden has no access. No access to inbuilt cupboards or anything taped up. During your stay I will settle you in on arrival. Please do not hesitate to ask me anything you would like to know about London and it's goings on - I am that rare thing - a Londoner born and raised in Chelsea and happy to share the knowledge! Other things to note Fire has been disconnected for your safety. Please contact me if you wish to use the fire - this will require a further deposit, fee and instructions for use. **Shoe free zone** but if shoes are worn indoors a carpet cleaning fee is GBP100. Apartment has wide steps to the building entrance, and the bath is quite deep aside from this should be accessible to the elderly or mothers with babies. Flat is not suitable for toddlers or small children due to safety issues (fire, art, windows).
