This's the vintage Javanese wooden house, called Joglo. We combine the real vintage house with modern touch, where you can enjoy a traditional Javanese ambiance with the modern comfort in the city center. You book a small room with private shower facing a little garden. All other facilities are shared with other guests. Airport pick up service & kilo laundry service are available. We love vintage, we bought the house materials and furniture from all over Java. They are folkart, rustic, vintage and unique.....the real Javanese heritage. We want to bring back the past, the memory when we spent school holidays in our grandparents house in small village. The characteristic of traditional Javanese wooden house is low door (approx 1.8m height) so we have to bow a bit to show respect to the house owner or relatives. Please mind your head when you stay here :) We have online vintage shop @penggemarlawas and this house is also our home gallery, hence we periodically replace the furnitures/decoration. The furniture/decoration may not exactly the same as in the photos. If you have specific requirement, please do inform us before making the reservation. You can access all part of the house ( share with other guest): - A piaza or hall, we called pendopo and it's the main part of joglo house. This's a common area and dining room, where we gather with our families and guests (shared). Contact us if you want to use Pendopo for personal event (additional fee) - terrace (at the back) and little garden (front, side and back) - little kitchen (shared) - parking lot for 2 cars (shared, first come first) - internet quota: max 3Gb for 2 night stays My mother and sister live in the neighborhood so you can also communicate with them, and we sometime stay/visit over weekend. There's a maid in the house who'll help with everything you needs and you can always reach us via text/whatsapp My house is in the housing area (Sempur), near the Botanical Garden, Presidential Palace, Zoological Museum, Coffee Shop/restaurants, a lot of hawkers food and facing Ciliwung river. For sports lover, there're volley arena, soccer field and jogging track in the neighborgood. There's a small bridge nearby, you can walk through to see small houses in the kampong across the river. My house is in the city center, where you can easily walk to everywhere: - The Botanical garden entrance, Presidential palace, museums is only 1.3km - The shuttle bus to airport (next to Botani Square shopping mall) and train station is only 2.2km - You can simply order app-based taxi (grab, go-car) or app-based taxi motorbike (grab, gojek) to go everywhere - Public transportation (angkutan kota) is also easy to reach, it's a green minibus with number/route, and you pay directly to the driver - The're several coffee shops in the neighborhood, Baked & Brew is only 800m, and there are many restaurant in Pangrango Street nearby - Supermarket, foodcourt, Bakery (Yogya junction, Bogor Permai, starbuck) in jalan Sudirman are within walking distance LAUNDRY & PRESSING: My sister has kilo laundry service, it is around 10k IDR/kg for standard laundry+pressing (3 days). Quick service available with extra fee, please inform the housekeeper if you need this service AIRPORT PICK UP SERVICE Our friend has a grab taxi and he can pick you at the airport exit gate (holding your name). The car is Nisan Livina, and the fee is Rp 750.000 or €50, it's around 2hrs drive depending on traffic (85km). You can pay via airbnb (we'll send payment request) or to our NL bank account (ING).
