Abapa House, Choglamsar (Room 1)
Abapa House, Choglamsar (Room 1)
Description
Less than 5 km from the Leh Town, Choglamsar village is more rustic and less touristy allowing the best of both worlds. Apaba House is our traditional ancestral house name. You'll find a beautiful wood and mud house, made in local architecture, where our family lives on the ground floor with 3 Tibetan breed dogs. Our top floor houses 3 private rooms open for travellers, with mesmerising Stok range view from the large glass windows. The space Hot water is always available with a Solar water heater. Food can be made available in the family living area. You can do lots of stuff here like, local cooking class, village walk, sunrises and sunsets by the bank of the Indus river etc. There are a lot of Tibetan Refugee Camps nearby our home where you can meet the Tibetan families, visit local Tibetan houses, listen to their stories and help out/volunteer if you plan to stay for a long duration.
