In Cathar country, a 40 m² apartment in an 18th-century farmhouse with a heated pool. 3 hectares of rolling meadows on the outskirts of the medieval village of Chalabre. Lake Montbel 4 km away. The apartment is well furnished, with a separate bedroom and a separate bathroom right across from the room. Hallway leading to a beautiful area with a living room, a sofa, an armchair, and a TV. Situated on the first floor with their own separate entrance and accessed by a short staircase, they may not suitable for young children or anyone with a physical disability. They can be rented separately or together for larger groups. Prices is depending of the dimension of the gite and season. Bourdil is unusual, because it is in a beautiful countryside setting yet only 12 minutes walk to Chalabre with it's full range of shops. It's so much nicer to stroll down to the boulangerie in the mornings alongside the river, rather than having to drive for miles ! A Wi-Fi Broadband connection is available at le Bourdil to save you searching out an Internet cafe elsewhere, although a free connection is offered at the library. ---------- Tivoli measures nearly 420 sq ft (40m2) and has lovely views towards the village. The accommodation comprises: Sitting room/dining/kitchen, with a comfortable settee and armchairs, dining table and chairs, cooker with grill, 'fridge, kettle, cafetière and toaster. It also has a Radio/CD player and a TV/DVD player is available too, as well as a comprehensive library of books, CD's and DVD's.. Shower room with thermostatic shower and hairdrier. It is the capital of the Quercob, with the towns of Mirepoix and Limoux nearby. Aude, the Cathar Country, is an ideal haven for the practice of cycle touring. The Aude is one the largest wine producing regions in the world so visiting one of our wineries is a must (Blanquette de Limoux). The 10 meter pool (with steps for easy access) area is surrounded by our meadows (3 ha), orchard (May/June) and woodland making a perfect spot to relax in the sun listening to the bees and watching the butterflies Come and visit the pretty medieval village of Chalabre with hall in the center. You can also SKI nearby in the winter months at picturesque Mont D'Olmes or go to the LAKE of MONTBEL 600 ha (kayak, pédalos, beach, restaurant, play field). The wonderful scenery changes with the seasons so we are open for visitors all the year round. We are ideally situated for walking (VOIE VERTE), skiing, fishing, house hunting or just having a well earned rest! There is so much to see, and you will enjoy the break from the pressures of work and home. A trip to the medieval city of MIREPOIX with its lovely architecture (make sure you take your camera; Monday market) In the village of Chalabre we have a post office, paper shop, baker, butcher and a supermarket and there are restaurants close by too. Not so far the historic Chateau MONTSEGUR and other places nearby are MIREPOIX, Rennes le Chateau, Pamiers, Foix castle and several amusement parks. Principauté d’Andorre (Spanish border) : Tax free shops + petrol THERMES : Also for relaxing we have Rennes-les-Thermes and Ax-les-Thermes. If you like doing kayak, pédalos, sailing boat or relax on beach we have (4 km) the big lake of Montbel (600 ha). Water rafting and canoeing in nearby Quillan or Ax-les-Thermes. There is also a Forest adventure park, (tree climbing etc). There is so much to do in the nearby vicinity here, we have bikes for the “voie Verte” (old railway - we have bicycle) or a horse, go karting, walk for miles up hill and down dale in the mountains or the gorges. It is a paradise for cyclists and motorcyclist and everywhere you go there is a warm welcome for you. This is a safe and friendly area which has so much history. In Bourdil at your disposal (ping-pong, badminton, jeux de boules, bicycle). You also will like our chicken, bees. Monts d'Olmes has great family skiing in the winter and is about 40 mins from here too. Andorra is a lovely drive from here and you can stock up on your Duty Frees there and even pop into Spain if you want.
