Description
This cosy wood cabin is tucked away in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, surrounded by nature. It is in the middle of the woods, far from other properties and homes. It is nevertheless at a comfortable distance from the nearby village and its shops. It is the perfect place for a peaceful getaway, and for those who like long walks and biking. *** The cabin is off-grid and solar powered : Electricity and water are limited. In winter during freezing temperatures, water is sometimes unavailable. The space Nestled between forest pines and water features, the Chalet is surrounded by various walking trails and equipped with a charming open fire place to welcome you home and warm up the space. The property is around 1.5 hectares and you are guaranteed to enjoy peace and quiet, with the occasional sound of birds and deer if you are lucky. The cabin is equipped with a gas heater and open fire, a bathroom and shower, a gas stove and oven as well as a fridge. We have a dining and seating area as well as two bedrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs). We provide the following amenities for your stay : KITCHEN: cooking pans and pots, cooking utensils, coffee moka, tea kettle, cutlery, glasses, cups, plates and bowls as well as barbecue utensils. Kitchen paper towel, dishwashing liquid, sponges and brushes. Garbage bags. Salt, pepper and oil. Coffee and tea. You must bring your own tea towel. BATHROOM: We provide toilet paper. You must bring your own bath towels and bath mat. BEDROOM: Pillows and blankets are provided. You must bring your own bed sheets and pillow covers. OTHER: Barbecue, outdoor seating and table, wood for the open fire. Guest access The entire cabin is for you. No other accommodation is on the property. Other things to note The main bedroom (queen size bed 180cm) is located upstairs on the mezzanine level and accessible with a permanent, retractable ladder. The ceiling is low and one must bend down to access the beds. It is not suitable for older people or those with mobility restrictions. The second bedroom (twin bed 90cm) is downstairs and easy to access. The shower is functional but meant for a quick rinse rather than a long shower due to the energy consumption of our water pump.
