Minutes from the coast, with direct access to miles of walks and cycle routes in The New Forest, Mallards is a charming one bedroom detached cob cottage set in the large garden of our family home. An ideal place to unwind and relax, it is set away from from the rest of the property so guests can enjoy their privacy, but hosts are close by to help if needed. Clean and very comfortable the cottage is full of charm with a private patio area with views over the garden and open countryside beyond. The space Mallards Cottage offers a lovely place for a two people to stay in the middle of the beautiful New Forest Country Park, close to sea, in comfort and peace. We are very happy to accommodate a baby or small child if guests are happy to bring a travel cot. The accommodation offers a double bedroom with a king-sized bed, a wardrobe and chest-of drawers. The sitting/living area includes a well equipped kitchen, dinning table and chairs and a living area with two sofas and a smart TV and DVD player. Double french doors lead from this room onto a private patio area which overlooks the back fields beyond the garden. A recently fitted out bathroom with a smallish shower, loo, basin and heated towel rail is off the living area. We provide guests with a breakfast supplies including cereals, bread, eggs, butter and jam as well as fresh coffee and a choice of teas. Linen and towels are provided, as well as basic kitchen supplies including olive oil, salt, paper and herbs. Guest access Guests access Mallards via the main drive to the house and have an area to park safely next to the cottage. They are very welcome to share the garden to the rear of the cottage and use our barn to store bikes safely. Other things to note We have a two and half horses: Forest, Tom and Tash - a miniature horse! They are well behaved, but quite greedy, so we but we ask guests not feed the horses please as they are on diets!
