The perfect getaway in the heart of the Kent countryside. Situated between the idyllic villages of Cranbrook and Hawkhurst with fabulous walking and in easy reach of the best country pubs around. This 300 year old detached barn has been part converted to provide luxury and comfort within the perfect setting for some peace and quiet and a break away from it all. This kitchen and bedroom suite is set within our home’s 11 acre grounds, but offers its own parking and front door for complete privacy The space Our self contained barn is set within gorgeous gardens and is well equipped with its own entrance, lobby area, with two comfortable chairs and a small electric wood burner stove. The kitchen has a table and chairs for dining along with a fridge full size oven and hob and separate microwave.Upstairs there is a very spacious double bedroom with an enormously comfortable king sized bed, sheets to die for, a TV and DVD player and a large desk area. Wifi is a available.There is then a lovely en-suite shower room. There is parking to the side of the barn that is dedicated to our guests. A wooden picnic table with bench seating is provided on the grass behind The Barn for guests use along with Steamer style deck chairs. A bbq is also available for your use. Footpaths and bridalways draw you out, virtually straight from your doorstep, onto unforgettable walks all over the country side. The property is very conveniently located for trips to Sissinghurst Castle and gardens; Bodiam Castle and Bedgebury Forest (which is perfect for cylcling as well as walking). We are within half an hour of the South Coast beaches and the historic town of Rye (Camber Sands is a must see). Tunbridge Wells is 30 minutes away and Canterbury, Brighton and London are within easy reach by car or train. (Staplehurst or Etchingham being the nearest mainline train stations). Guest access The converted part of the barn and its parking area are exclusively available to the guests staying with us. Other things to note If it would assist to have a travel cot in the bedroom this can of course be arranged. I have three grandsons so will likely have whatever it is you need. Indeed the same goes for an ironing board and iron. Available upon request. A car is likely to be needed unless you feel taxi rides to and from the property will be sufficient.
