Located near Bhowali, it's just a short drive from Nainital, Bhimtal, Sattal, and Naukuchiatal. The space God’s Own Cottage features four well-appointed bedrooms, a spacious living and dining area, a fully equipped modern kitchen, and multiple terraces and gardens that let you soak in the mesmerizing beauty of Kumaon. Bedroom 1 - The Green Room. A large, airy bedroom with a king-size bed, attached changing room, and an expansive balcony overlooking the valley & hills beyond. Provides a very dominating view of the surroundings. The room can comfortably accommodate four people with additional mattresses. A dedicated Mandir and an en-suite bathroom with geyser and shower facilities complete the space. Witness a glorious sunrise right from your bed! The balcony is also linked most conveniently with the bedroom below by a Deck cum Staircase. Bedroom 2 - The Purple Room. The room located at a lower level has a separate entrance . This cozy room with large glass panelled windows has a queen-size bed and an attached bathroom with modern amenities. It opens into the lowest-tiered garden, featuring outdoor seating, a swing, and lush greenery. A perfect spot to enjoy the tranquility of nature. The Purple Room is now connected internally with the Green Room at the top by a staircase. Bedroom 3 - The Beige Room (Ad Hoc Room). An extension of the living room, this intimate space features a sofa-cum-bed and additional mattresses, making it ideal for extra guests. Glass-paneled windows offer stunning views of towering conifers. The room has direct access to a water closet and is equipped with a well-stocked library, indoor games, and a personal computer. Bedroom 4 - The Annexe. Nestled under majestic deodar cedar trees, this charming glass-panelled annexe sits just 25 yards from the main cottage on the eastern side, offering breathtaking valley views and serene mountain surroundings. It features a comfortable queen-size bed, tasteful decor, and an attached full bathroom. Designed for privacy and relaxation, this tranquil haven comfortably accommodates two guests, making it perfect for a peaceful nature retreat. Living & Dining Areas. The spacious living and dining rooms exude warmth and nostalgia, with high pinewood ceilings, antique furnishings, and vintage artifacts. Plush sofas, carpets, and an inviting fireplace make this the perfect space for relaxation. The dining area, with its elegant wooden table, comfortably seats six, ensuring delightful meals with family and friends. Kitchen & Dining Room. The Dining Room is well appointed and has a large antique dining table and chairs for six guests. It has an attached covered balcony with sit-out overlooking the garden & valley below - a fascinating view. Ideal for tea in the morning or a drink in the evening. The modern, fully equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator, gas stove, oven, microwave, and ample cookware. Guests can choose to cook their own meals or enjoy delicious home-cooked vegetarian and non-vegetarian fare prepared by our in-house cook (meals available at reasonable prices; prior notice required). The caretaker can assist with grocery shopping from the local market. Outdoor Spaces & Gardens. The cottage is surrounded by beautifully manicured, multi-tiered gardens adorned with vibrant flowers, fruit trees, and towering deodars. Multiple seating arrangements, swings, and garden benches provide the perfect setting for unwinding with a cup of tea while enjoying the cool mountain breeze. Amenities & Services . Free parking for up to 3 cars. Fans and heaters/fireplaces in every room (no AC needed at 6,000 feet). High-speed fiber-optic Wi-Fi, ideal for work-from-home setups. Reliable power backup with a 6.5 KVA Honda generator and inverter. Caretaker and cook are available all the time to assist the guests throughout their stay. They stay at the Cottage premises. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entire Cottage as listed and the Annexe, including all rooms, living areas, and gardens. The property comfortably accommodates up to eight adults, with two additional children easily adjusted. Other things to note God's Own Cottage is perched at the edge of a jungle in a peaceful rural setting. We request guests to be mindful of the environment and conserve water. Pets may be allowed on special request. Drivers are not permitted to stay on the premises but can be accommodated at a location approximately one km away. The Caretaker will be happy to assist with arrangements. Nearest airport is Pant Nagar situated about 60 km from Bhowali.
