Description
The cottage sits in an elevated position offering privacy within a rural setting that allows easy access to the Highland and Grampian regions of Scotland without compromising on the charm of a peaceful country retreat. Numerous outdoor pursuits such as skiing, hillwalking, fishing, water sports, cycling and golf are readily accessible from this location. Inverness is easily accessed by car or bus. Single pets are welcome; please contact us to discuss your requirements before booking. The space The cottage comprises a living room with open plan kitchen, a separate bedroom and a bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with a full size cooker, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and electric kettle. Cutlery, glasses, crockery, pans and cooking utensils are provided. Basic cooking ingredients - oil, salt, pepper, tea, coffee etc are provided also. Between the kitchen and the living room there is a breakfast bar with stools. The cottage has a washing machine. There is a rotary clothes line in the garden and a clothes airer is provided inside. A small iron and ironing board are stored in the wardrobe. Limited supplies of detergent and fabric conditioner are available for guest use. There is one double bed in the bedroom. Bedroom windows are fitted with blinds and curtains. Bed linen and towels are provided. We also have a travel cot that is suitable for a child up to 24 months old. One change of bedding is available for the cot with a variety of quilts, blankets etc. We can provide an air mattress and bedding in the bedroom or living room for a third guest at a small extra charge. Please contact us to discuss your requirement. The bathroom has a full size bath with electric shower over. Bath sheets and hand towels are provided to suit the number of guests booked. A TV and DVD player are located in the living area together with a two seater sofa and occasional tables and lights. The cottage has unrestricted fast internet WiFi. Heating is by wall mounted electric radiators with a coal effect fan heater stove in the living room and a fan heater in the bathroom. A small raised deck is located outside the access door overlooking the private garden. There is a table with two chairs on the deck. Guest access The cottage has its own private garden and driveway/parking space. There is a house, driveway and garden opposite the front of the cottage that guests do not have access to. Other things to note Due to the recent sharp increases in the cost of electricity we have had to increase our nighly rate. We apologise for this and trust that guests and potential guests will understand. To keep our pricing simple and attractive we do not make a separate charge for electricity. We do, however, ask our guests to take reasonable measures to minimise their use of electricity especially in the colder months of the year. We monitor consumption and reserve the right to impose an additional charge if usage is unusually high. Typical usage during the coldest winter months is less than 40kWh per day. The cottage is connected to a septic tank. Manufactured articles other than toilet paper must not be flushed down the toilet. Sanitary bags are provided for the disposal of such items. Guests with a pet should note that the garden of the cottage is not wholly enclosed and the pet should probably not be allowed to roam unsupervised. Registration Details HI-50921-F
