Unique luxury cottage for two, an ancient dovecote with a fabulous swimming pool. Beautifully furnished, romantic and spacious, in gorgeous peaceful countryside, the thick stone walls make it warm and cosy in winter, cool in summer as well as quiet and private. Upstairs there is a very comfortable super kingsize bed, a rolltop bath, a huge velvet sofa and a 50" TV. Downstairs is a shower room, kitchen and large dining area. Lovely walks from the door and close to Salisbury, Longleat & Stonehenge The space Sleep soundly in an incredibly comfortable, peaceful, very unusual and private 300 year old dovecote with the original dove nesting holes all around the walls, wake up in a super-king bed, soak in the roll-top bath and sip champagne by the beautiful swimming pool. The Dovecote is a recently renovated, centrally heated and spacious 2 storey building which was a dovecote in the 17th century. The upper floor is beautifully and elegantly furnished, it has a huge L-shaped sofa, a 50" TV with Netflix, a Sony music system, WiFi, mood lighting, a super kingsize bed with goosedown bedding (hypoallergenic bedding is also available) and Egyptian cotton bedlinen and a freestanding rolltop bath. On the ground floor there is a very well-equipped kitchen, a large dining area with table and chairs and a shower room. Outside there is a lovely stone terrace with a table and chairs, bench, fire pit and barbecue and a beautiful view. There is off-road parking in a gated yard directly outside the Dovecote and and an EV charger is also available. The pool and surrounding area have been entirely refurbished and offer a stylish and private area for you to enjoy during your stay. The pool is heated during summer and is generally available for our Dovecote guests' sole use from 9am to 2pm each day and/or at other times by mutual arrangement. We leave you delicious chocolates and biscuits to snack on and a continental breakfast of milk, butter, muesli, croissants, jam and marmalade. We are situated in the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are fabulous walks for miles to the north, south, east and west in the beautiful woods and countryside all around. The property is for adults only, it isn't suitable for children, infants or pets Guest access Off-road parking behind locked gates Other things to note We have 3 dogs and 2 horses and the Dovecote, although freestanding and very private, is situated in a courtyard which is shared with the house and stables. There is table tennis available next to the swimming pool. A continental breakfast is provided, with muesli, milk, butter, croissants, jam and marmalade. Most products are all natural and organic. Sadly the Dovecote is unsuitable for pets, infants, children or those of limited mobility/wheelchair users due to the design of the accommodation.
