Unique. private & very ancient dovecote near Salisbury & Stonehenge with a fabulous swimming pool in gorgeous peaceful countryside with wonderful walks straight from the door. Beautifully furnished, very well equipped, romantic & spacious. Thick stone walls make it warm & cosy in winter, cool in summer as well as very quiet. It has an exceptionally comfortable super kingsize bed, rolltop bath, huge velvet sofa, sound system, 50" TV, fully equipped kitchen, dining area & shower room. The space The perfect place for a romantic getaway or a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing break. Sleep soundly in an incredibly quiet, private, very unusual 300 year old dovecote, wake up in a fabulously comfortable super-kingsize bed, soak in the lovely relaxing roll-top bath, have a barbecue or sip champagne on your private terrace or lie and sunbathe by the beautiful private swimming pool that is offered for your sole use from 9am to 2 pm and/or at other times by mutual agreement You will find a delicious continental breakfast of croissants, muesli, milk, butter, jam, marmalade and a selection of Nespresso coffee pods as well as lovely chocolates and biscuits to snack on The Dovecote is a recently renovated, centrally heated and very spacious 2 storey building which forms part of a 1000 year old farm mentioned in the Doomsday Book. It is beautifully and elegantly furnished and very well equipped, with full fibre high speed broadband and a Sony music system. The upper floor has a huge L-shaped sofa, a 50" TV with Netflix, a music system and mood lighting. The super kingsize bed has goosedown pillows and duvet (hypoallergenic bedding is also available) and Egyptian cotton bedlinen There is also a very comfortable freestanding rolltop bath on the upper floor. Outside there is a lovely stone terrace for your private use with a table and chairs, cushions, a bench, fire pit and barbecue and beautiful views. On the ground floor there is a very well-equipped kitchen with an induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer. toaster, kettle and a Nespresso coffee maker next to the large dining area with a a glass dining table and very comfortable chairs. There is a downstairs shower room with lovely hand wash, body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided There is off-road parking in a gated yard directly outside the Dovecote and and an EV charger is also available close to the door. The pool and surrounding area have been entirely refurbished and offer a stylish and private area for you to enjoy during your stay, with very comfortable sun beds, an umbrella and a huge sofa and coffee table. Swimming towels are provided and there is a shower room and toilet next to the pool. The pool is heated during the summer months. The Dovecote is situated in the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is close to Salisbury, Stonehenge and Longleat and there are fabulous walks directly from the door to the north, south, east and west in the beautiful woods and countryside all around. The property is for adults only, it isn't suitable for children, infants or pets Guest access We will usually be here to greet you and show you around when you arrive Other things to note We have 3 dogs and 2 horses and the Dovecote, although freestanding and very private, is situated in a courtyard which is shared with the house and stables. There is table tennis available next to the swimming pool. Sadly the Dovecote is unsuitable for pets, infants, children or those of limited mobility/wheelchair users due to the design of the accommodation.
