Wonderfully spacious, private and very comfortable for a lovely relaxing and peaceful weekend. 2 hours from London and a short walk to the award winning Horseshoe pub. Surrounded by peace and tranquility with stunning views. The perfect place for some time away from it all, a romantic getaway, walking in glorious countryside, or just to relax and unwind. Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, Bath, Longleat, the New Forest, Studland Bay, Sandbanks and the Jurassic Coast an easy drive. The space The Barn is a lovely, peaceful and private space. It's totally separate, self contained and stand alone. Our house is across the courtyard from the Barn . The space is light and airy and very flexible to suit your needs. We have excellent WiFi connection with a download speed of 55mbps and upload of 5.6 . With a main bedroom with Superking bed. A second bedroom/sitting room with daybed which opens out into a comfy double bed with it's own mattress as well as a single day bed which both double as comfy sofas when just 2 people are staying, with lots of cushions and merino wool throws help you luxuriate in the peace, relax and unwind. Downstairs is a wonderfully spacious room where you have a very large and comfy 4 seater sofa , 2 armchairs, beanbags, a football table another dining table and chairs and a 50" TV with professionally installed surround sound, SKY TV/Sky Sport/Apple TV/Netflix/DVD Player, DVD collection . And with underfloor heating it’s always cosy and warm. Plus a separate cloakroom with loo and wash hand basin. There's also a further single bed if 3 people were staying and you all wanted separate sleeping quarters. Upstairs there is also a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely bathroom with a full size bath, full height shower, spacious basin and loo. From the sitting room you can walk out onto your own balcony where you can sit and enjoy the spectacular views with a morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine. We provide Egyptian cotton sheets, goose down duvets and fluffy white towels and towelling dressing gowns giving you luxurious comfort throughout your stay. As well as your balcony, you also have your own private area of garden with table and chairs directly outside your front door. MAIN BEDROOM ::- A wonderfully light and spacious room with Superking bed. We provide only the best linen, Egyptian cotton sheets, goose and duck down duvets, and lots of feather pillows and cushions to make you feel as comfortable as possible. We also provide fluffy white towels for you to use during your stay. There is plenty of room for a travel cot (which we can also provide) if you have a baby and want your baby to be close by. SECOND BEDROOM/SITTING ROOM In the sitting room/SECOND BEDROOM upstairs you also have a DVD player and lots of DVD's which you are welcome to use. Also superfast broadband giving you excellent wifi. As well as a little stash of games and playing cards to while away a rainy day! As well as a dining table and chairs. KITCHEN The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker/hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and all the utensils necessary for a self catering stay. Everything you might need such as bin bags, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, cleaning products, cling film, roasting bags, cloths and tea towels is provided. On your arrival there will be a welcome pack of tea, herbal teas, instant coffee, a small amount of ground coffee, enough for a couple of cups, sugar and some homemade breakfast muesli . I also provide filled salt and pepper grinders and a small bottle of cooking oil. BATHROOM::- The bathroom has a full size bath with shower mixer, a separate full-height shower cubicle, large basin with lever taps and mirror above, and a heated towel rail. It works well for a couple or family with small children and for 3 adults but please be aware it's not huge. We provide a few toiletries, including loo roll, cotton wool, shower gel and hand wash, shampoo and body wash . Guest access Access to the property is through our electric gates. The Barn is completely stand alone, private and separate to our house, so social distancing is immediate and never a problem. Our house is adjacent to the barn across the courtyard, so far enough away that you can make as much noise as you like, we have no neighbours and we can't hear you! There is plenty of secure parking in our walled courtyard directly outside your property. PARKING IS ENTIRELY AT THE CAR OWNERS OWN RISK. You have your own private garden area at the back of the barn. Other things to note We have a wire haired daschund called Percy. He is very friendly and gentle in nature but can get excited when he meets you may jump up (not very high because he is low to the ground) and of course please let us know if he’s being a pain and we will come and remove him. Please note, there is no washing machine in the Barn but I have 2 washing machines and a dryer over in the house and am very happy to do any washing for you if I am here during your stay, which mostly I will be. I can have it back to you within 24 hours, quicker if it's urgent. If you're here for a week it's free, other stays I charge £10. Please leave it bagged up on our front door step and text me to let me know it's there. PLEASE BE AWARE THERE IS A FLIGHT OF STAIRS AND WE DON'T HAVE A STAIR GATE. We have a travel cot - a bottom sheet is provided but please bring your own blankets for the cot. We also have a high chair you are welcome to use. I clean everything meticulously, and am very mindful of Covid and the need to be fastidious with this, and you will see from my reviews that I consistently achieve 5* for cleanliness.
