The spacious rooms will give you a comfortable experience in our beautiful Villa on the outskirts of Montemagno. # Enjoy a stylish vacation in this unique space. # The space The resort called Villa Ricetro is located on the top of a hillside ridge between the Versilia coast and the Apuan Alps at 300 meters above sea level, surrounded by nature, among centuries-old olive groves and oak and chestnut forests, enjoying an excellent temperate climate, never too hot in summer, never too cold in winter. The name Ricetro comes from the Latin Ilicitrum, holm oak tree. The area was full of forests in Roman times. The ancient Via Francigena or Romea, which linked northern Europe to the Holy Land, passed through Montemagno. The Ricetro farm was built in the first half of the 1800s, expanding a much older small building several times. A notarial document displayed in a painting in the house Francesca 1 bears the date of 1487. The nucleus, in addition to the manor house, included an olive mill, the girabue where an animal revolved around a gear pole to transmit the movement to the millstones of the adjacent mill, stables and barns. Where the pool is now, there was the farm's vegetable garden. We restored it philologically about 15 years ago, trying to maintain the historicity of the structure as much as possible. Guest access The house has a garden where you can dine outdoors. Available and shared with other guests, if present, we offer: -> the large garden -> the area with the hot tub and the panoramic pool from which you can admire the Tyrrhenian coast up to Livorno and on clear days Corsica. Other things to note 20 minutes from Lucca, 16 minutes from the sea and Pisa; and 40 minutes from Florence and an hour from the Cinque Terre.
