This private, self-contained retreat features a spacious en suite king bedroom, elegant sitting room, and fully equipped kitchen with GRIND coffee machine. Perfectly placed for exploring the Cotswolds, enjoy peaceful surroundings, fast broadband, parking, and a generous welcome pack with fresh eggs and honey from the garden apiary. The space Built from traditional Cotswold stone in the 1800s, Masons Cottage overlooks a remarkable garden designed by an Oxford University tree specialist, home to many rare and unusual trees. With 1.5 acres to explore, there are plenty of peaceful spots to relax. Beyond the garden lies a Site of Special Scientific Interest, where orchids bloom in spring and early summer, and guests are welcome to walk when grazing permits. Inside, the cottage blends heritage character with modern comfort. The kitchen is fully equipped with a Neff oven, dishwasher, washer-dryer, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, GRIND coffee machine, and BOSE Bluetooth speaker. Natural stone and parquet flooring, organic cotton bedding, a Herdysleep mattress, and wool duvets from Devon Duvet ensure exceptional comfort. Local artwork and pottery reflect the cottage’s Cotswold setting, while Bramley toiletries are provided in the bathroom. Private parking is available a short walk from the cottage. Two friendly dogs live in the main house and may come to say hello. EV charging is available via standard sockets (adapter required, £20 fee up to 3 nights). The community-run White Horse pub is just a short walk away. A quintessential village pub offering local craft beer and supports lots of local suppliers and produce. Ideally located for exploring Blenheim Palace, Oxford, Woodstock, Daylesford, Diddly Squat Farm, and the wider Cotswolds, Masons Cottage is a perfect countryside escape for couples. They are well trained, but very busy! We also have free range chickens wondering around, an apiary, and sheep for part of the year so with all these 2 and 4-legged pets/livestock, our cottage may not be for everyone! If you require non-dairy “milk” or honey then please let us know in advance of your arrival. We know the area well and you will find details of local walks, pubs, cafes and other interesting places in the cottage. To get the most out of your weekend, we allow late departures on Sundays whenever possible. Please feel free to ask.
