Secret hideaway with total darkness, Gran Canaria

Hidden 24 m² cave retreat hand-carved into the rock, perfect for peace and disconnection. Enjoy total darkness for deep and restful sleep. Double bed (160x200), raw materials and eco-friendly spirit. Naturally cool with ideal temperature (18 °C) all year. Bathroom inside, separated by a fabric screen. Dry toilet in the cave, standard toilet in shared bathroom nearby. Ceiling fan. A larger cave nearby also available on Airbnb. The space Welcome to a place many describe as magical, inspiring, even mysterious. But what you’ll feel here is yours to discover. Your cave is part of an old troglodyte site I restore by hand, stone by stone, using local, natural materials. The well-equipped kitchen is shared with guests from the other cave. A little coordination does the trick — and sometimes leads to wonderful connections over a meal! A patio, open lounge, small terrace for sunrise views, night birds or stargazing when the sky is clear. Further on: ponds, a vegetable garden, fruit trees and secret corners to rest or dream. Elsewhere on the land: other caves, a house where my family and I live, five cats… and Ayla, our friendly dog and the estate’s best host. Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy the entire property: patio, outdoor lounge, vegetable garden, orchard, and hidden corners... We live right next door, in the house next to the cave area. It’s our private space, but if you're curious to see it, we'd be happy to give you a little tour! During your stay I’m usually around, fixing an old stone wall or tending the garden. And if you feel like it, I’d be happy to share my 12 years of Canarian adventures with you! Other things to note Located 20 min from Santa María de Guía, Gáldar, and Agaete, and 12 min from shops, this property is a true natural hideaway. Unmarked hiking trails start right at the gate — perfect for nature lovers and off-the-beaten-path explorers.
