You want to stay in a shared room, but you are looking for more protection and privacy? We have rebuilt and are pleased to offer you our new stylish capsule beds in wooden look. Each guest gets their own, completely secluded bed. The hostel is located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Jungfrau region. We are located in the middle of the ski area and are the ideal starting point for outdoor activities such as skiing, sledding, snowshoeing and much more. Self-catering kitchen, lounge, restaurant and hosts who are heartily happy about your visit await you amidst the snowy mountain peaks. The relaxed atmosphere between guests regularly leads to friendships that last a lifetime. In the evenings, people often get together for games, for small - and larger - jam sessions, and to share adventures they've had and ideas for the next day. Hiking, paragliding, climbing, swimming in the mountain lake, skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, ski touring.... every season offers you the perfect outdoor experience right on the spot. Whether you are visiting us for the first time or are already a member of the hostel family, the Mountain Hostel will be the highlight of your trip and an unforgettable experience. Guest access As you might have seen, we are located in a car-free village in the mountains. To reach us, you can go by car or public transport to Stechelberg to the valley station of the Schilthorn cable car. From there the gondola will take you to the mountain village of Gimmelwald within 4 minutes and costs 6 CHF. The hostel is located in Gimmelwald right next to the gondola station after the gravel path. In the evening the gondola leaves every hour until 23:45 - on weekends until after midnight. Other things to note When you check-in you must pay an additional fee of 3.10 per night and person for the city-tax.
