Gammaduwa Colonial Bungalow and Tea Estate 1

Gammaduwa Deluxe Heritage Bungalow is a 120 years old colonial tea plantation property in 7 acres of traditional tea estate at 2700 feet in the hills overlooking Riverston and Knuckles Mountain Range with spectacular mountain views. Guests chill or go hiking or use our mountain bikes to explore the surrounding tea trails and hills. Others swim in the waterfall pools not far away. All our rooms have a mountain or garden view and some have a balcony or elevated terrace. The space A Srilankan/European fusion breakfast is available and there is a serve-yourself guest refreshment area in each rooms, with water, tea, coffee, for free. Finally, don't miss our British Afternoon tea at 4pm when we serve our own complementary homemade tea with homemade cake for those booking our Half Board offer. Please ask for details Guest access There is a guest only library/living room and, for larger groups, a living room and music room. The dinning area is Alfresco on the large veranda as well as a smaller dinning area in the Dutch Colonial hall. You can enjoy these areas and find spaces to share and spaces to be alone. The gardens have outside furniture to enjoy the spectacular views of Riverston peak and the Knuckles mountains as well as the bungalow gardens. During your stay The bungalow is a guest house and also our home so we will usually be around to chat and help out with advice or help arrange visits if guests wish. Other things to note We can offer half day and whole day trip to surrounding area eg. Bambarakiri Ella water falls, Little World's End, Riverston Peak, and Temples and Spice Gardens in Matale.
