Sleep well on comfortable mattresses, extra pillows, and quality linens. Buenaventura Casa features heating and cooling “splits” in each bedroom and an electric fireplace in the sala. The private back patio has a BBQ grill area and laundry room. Fully stocked with lots of cooking and dining supplies, the spacious, private kitchen and dining room provide great gathering and meal-prep spaces. Well-trained dog owners with 1-2 adult dogs welcome. Large windows supply an abundance of natural light. Work remotely, plan your day, or stream Netflix, You Tube, and other favorites. Play games in the family room in front of the fireplace, find your own special reading nook, or select a workspace using one of two desks, kitchen table, bar, or one of two patio tables. For privacy, retreat to a beautiful bedroom. Safety & security: The duplex is fully enclosed with an iron gate and traditional cinderblock walls. Neighbors are respectful and friendly. The house is equipped with smoke alarms, a carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, 1st aid kit, and has 2 paths of egress. Guest access Use the RED DOOR on the RIGHT SIDE of the house where the formal patio is located. Enter through the “person-gate” for walk-through entrance. Please see “Check-in” instructions for access codes [to gate and door]. Located on a one-way street in a nice residential area with good lighting. Free on-street parking. Coffee, restaurants, pharmacies, and more are within easy walking distance. Relax! Wine, margarita, and glassware + plastic ware for the kids are supplied. Safety & security: The duplex is fully enclosed with an iron gate and traditional cinderblock walls. Neighbors are respectful and friendly. The black gate on the right of the house leads to the back patio with the BBQ grill area and laundry room. A 2nd entrance to the patio is via the master bedroom’s private access door. Operate the hanging patio - lights with the remote that is adhered to the laundry room wall. Help yourself to coffee, tea, popcorn, and other snacks in the kitchen. Board games and shopping bags are in lower kitchen cupboards. In the laundry room, you’ll find portable beach/camp chairs, and ironing plus cleaning supplies. The house features air conditioning & heating units (splits) in each bedroom and a garbage disposal in the kitchen. Remotes for the splits are in wall holders (white) beside the built-in bedroom closets. The garbage disposal is located on the right side of the sink; the switch is under the cabinet. Water must be run whenever the garbage disposal is turned on. Please make sure everyone in your party knows to never put their hands down the sink drain! Safety Notes: The 1st aid kit is under the bathroom sink. The house is equipped with smoke alarms, a carbon monoxide alarm and a fire extinguisher. Please remember that the most important thing is to get everyone out safely, then call 911. Make sure everyone knows there are 2 ways out—front and back. For the adults: wine and margarita glasses are in the top cabinet! GROUP OPTIONS: Perfect for weddings and group travel! The adjoining casita, Pura Vida, may be booked as an intimate retreat for the bride and groom while this larger casa—Buenaventura--hosts friends and family. A secure, shared door with double deadbolts offers the option of shared or separated spaces for both fun and peace-keeping. Each neighboring space is fully separated by a fence, interior wall, and patio privacy wall. Long-term guests are welcome! Because everyone needs consistent work to feed their families, my trusted housekeeper will clean weekly [on a date and time mutually agreeable] for a $39 cleaning fee.
