"The"The Gem" is exactly that !"The Gem" chalet with pool amazing mountain views It is a purpose built 3 bedroomed wooden chalet, with private swimming pool and extensive outside garden space, situated in a tranquil green valley with stunning mountain views and working fruit groves, yet near to Spain's best blue flag beaches. It is the perfect retreat for a get-away-from-it-all holiday. All modern amenities are just three minutes drive away in the cute, traditional Spanish town of Villalonga. The space "The Gem" chalet with pool amazing mountain views"The Gem" is a medium sized, comfortable purpose built wooden chalet, in the garden of Orange Blossom villa, which is my home. It has three small bedrooms, two private rooms and one on a mezzanine area. Bedroom one has a comfy king sized bed, storage drawers and hanging space. Bedroom two has a comfy double bed, storage drawers and hanging space. The third bedroom is above the first two rooms, up a wooden ladder on the mezzanine. It has two single beds, storage drawers and hanging space. This upstairs area is popular with children, who can be in their own space, yet also be easily seen and supervised by the grown ups I have a cot and a high chair available for little ones. I also have a stroller and a car seat for youngsters that you can borrow. All clean bed linen is provided. There is a kitchen area, with a two ring cooker, microwave, 2 fridges (one outside at the back by the barbecue), sink, kettle, toaster, water heater etc. It has all the crockery, cutlery and equipment you require to make a complete meal, drinks and snacks. Anything extra you might need can always be borrowed from my house. The private bathroom has a powerful shower, sink, toilet and mirror. All clean towels, and bathroom necessities are provided. The living area has a large settee, two chairs, coffee table, a TV with all English channels (and more) via satellite, and radio/DVD player. There is wifi access within the chalet, outside on the patio and in the garden. There are some games and books available. Outside the chalet there is a private patio, with chairs and table, with fantastic views of La Safor mountain range and along the valley, through the orange groves, to the town of Villalonga in the distance. It is breathtakingly beautiful. The chalet is simply furnished, is comfortable and has all modern equipment to ensure a relaxing stay. There are fans in every room and a powerful air conditioning unit in the chalet. All windows and door have netting to keep those summer bugs out of your holiday home. Beach/pool towels are provided in addition to everything you would need in the bathroom. There is space to park on the road, beside the garden wall. Parking is safe and quiet, my house is the last house at the end of a quiet road through orange groves. I can wash your laundry for you during your stay. I can also provide any, all or no home cooked meals , as you require. I am a good cook, and can make English meals or sample the many Spanish tapas dishes of the region, as you fancy. I am happy to socialise or totally leave you to enjoy the space in complete privacy. Its entirely up to you to choose whatever you would prefer. Meals and drinks would incur additional charges to the charge for accommodation. The pool is available for your use anytime you wish. Guest access The grounds of Orange Blossom Villa and "The Gem" chalet are extensive, there is plenty of space to enjoy total privacy. You will have full access to the large private swimming pool, which is approximately 15' x 25'. it is about 3' deep at one end and 5' deep at the other. There are comfy sun beds by the pool. It is NOT heated, so can only be guaranteed to be warm and comfortable from around end of May until early September. Depending on the weather, it is often fine for swimming in from the beginning of May and into early October, but this depends on the summer temperatures, thus cannot be guaranteed. Please note, as the pool is deep at the farthest end, there are NO safety rails and children must be supervised. At the back of the chalet, there is a large sun terrace, with a big outside table and chairs and a Spanish paella oven/barbecue that you are welcome to use. There are also further sun terraces by the pool, next to the chalet and in the back of the garden. The entire outside space is available for you and your family or friends to use. The garden is particularly lovely, with many mature fruit trees - orange, mango, advocado, fig, almond and nispero. Many ornamental flowers and cacti, aloe vera, african daisies, bouganvillea, roses and much much more. Its heavenly. The chalet and villa are at the end of a quiet road that follows the river Serpis up the valley from Villalonga town. It is quiet and very little traffic. Dog walkers and cyclists outnumber any cars going past. Well behaved, socialised dogs are welcome. The garden is fully fenced, as I have a dog, who has free access to the garden. He is a quiet, timid beagle, a total sweetheart. I also have two feral cats who live outside. Please note that parties or events are not allowed.
