Luxurious 2 bed cottage near Kendal

Over the last two hundred years this space has been a hayloft and the village pub, but now our beautiful cottage is a quirky and contemporary retreat ideal for couples, friends and families to explore the Lake District or the Yorkshire Dales. Situated in the small village of Grayrigg just 6 miles from the bustling market town of Kendal, with its numerous shops and restaurants and easy access to transport links, this is the perfect luxurious base for your Lakes and Dales experience. The space Up the steps and through the 200 year old front door brings you into the double height open plan living area featuring 10ft Westmoreland sash windows, with views of the surrounding countryside. A brand new contemporary kitchen, with integrated dishwasher, fridge, induction hob, fan oven with extractor, and Nespresso coffee maker, along with everything you need to sample the fantastic produce available in our area. Fully restored original wood flooring leads through to the dining/living area with log burner and 32 inch wall mounted smart TV, with Netflix, Amazon Prime and all your usual channels. High bandwidth broadband throughout means you won't have to miss out on keeping in touch, or ideal if you want to combine a trip away with remote work. The stylish and comfortable sofa and chairs in the living room makes the perfect setting to relax with a glass of wine in front of the fire after a day on the fells or swimming in the lakes. The brand new bathroom features an extra deep bath, thermostatic shower, heated towel rail, along with bluetooth speakers built into the lighted mirror cabinet for the perfect background music to your luxurious soak in the bath. The downstairs bedroom features twin beds, with views over the garden and countryside beyond, along with plenty of drawer space. All of our bedding and towels are hotel quality, for that luxury feel. Upstairs the master bedroom has fantastic views through the glass balustrade over the Westmoreland window to the countryside beyond. After a great nights sleep in the sumptuous double bed, you'll love the lie in with coffee in the morning looking out across the hills. Ample off road parking is available through the side gate into the back yard. We love pooches, and we've got one of our own, but as the cottage is newly renovated we just ask that your furry friends keep out of the bedrooms (carpeted areas). We accept all well behaved and house trained dogs. There will also be an extra £20 cleaning fee. Please just add a pet when booking. Guest access The cottage has it's own private garden, with multiple seating areas, LED lighting and a firepit. It is gated and fenced, so safe and secure for dogs and children, although there is a very small shallow pond at the side of the greenhouse. Access is via the drive at the rear of the cottage, but please note there isn't a back door so guests do need to walk around the front of the cottage to get there. Other things to note We have a travel cot and high chair available on request - please let us know in advance if you need any of these and we'll make sure they are there when you check in. We provide hand soap and hand lotion from The Bath House, but we don't provide shampoo, conditioner or shower gel. We also provide a small amount of tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, salt and pepper, dishwasher tabs, kitchen roll and toilet roll - just enough to get you started on your holiday.
