"Half House" (Half House)

Lovely and very comfortable equipped half-timbered house, located directly beneath the romantic mountain of Quedlinburg's castle. It's nearly impossible to find a better location for staying in Quedlinburg! The space This beautiful old half-timered house is refurbished and equipped very individually. The house is located beneath the church ("Stiftskirche") and the castle and is part of the historic city centre. Therefore it is the best place to discover the stunning city of Quedlinburg, which is world cultural heritage, as well as the fascinating landscape around. Guest access Our guests can expect a whole "Half house" with its apprx. 63qm2 of living area placed over 3 floors . The ground floor has a bedroom, fitted with a double bed (180x200cm), a wardrobe and a chair. The bathroom is also located on the groundfloor and is fitted with a toilette as well as a duel bath shower unit. Towels and hair dryer are also provided. There is a small floor which then takes you to the back yard and to the stairs, which lead to the upper floors. Upstairs there is the living room fitted with a dining table and a small but useful kitchen. In the second floor (attic) there is another bedroom fitted with two single beds, a table and chairs, as well as a wardrobe. Other things to note The house is located at the beginning of a 1.5m wide alleyway, which can be only reached by foot. If you have to unload your car, you will have to carry your garbage about 15m and 8 stairs up to the front door. If you drive a motorcycle or a bike, you can stop and park it directly in front of/next to the door. Bicycles can be also parked in the small yard. Our "good fairy" Bianka can take care of your laundry for a small fee if needed. She will pick up, wash, and bring back the laundry. Costs: 12€/bag In the immediate proximity to the house (ca. 300m) there is a parking lot where you can leave your car after unloading it at the house. If you bring your dog with you, you are able to reach the beautiful municipal park "Brühl" within a few minutes. Nearby the park you can find the river "Bode", where you don't have to put a leash on your dog. General information: In the kitchen you will find some basic food like coffee, tea, salt, sugar, flour, etc. Furthermore there is a "bar" inside of the house with different spirits, that you may consume for a little payment. The stairs are very steep and old, so we definitively don't recommend the house to families with toddlers and people with walking problems.
