Our fully modernised studio apt is below the Le Grande Terche Ski Station (400m walk) - the St Jean D'Aulps ski resort, which is part of the huge Portes du Soleil ski area, and above the bustling village of St Jean D'Aulps. It is small (22sqm), but very well designed space - a comfortable, convenient and cozy place to stay for Winter and Summer holidays. With off road parking, a storage cave and ski boot heaters, Studio Uno is great for couples, solo adventurers and small families. The space The sleeping area is different to most studios - it has 2 x double beds, one above the other. Families that stay normally put small children in the lower of the two beds. The new kitchen is over twice the size of most kitchens in these studios, so it is easy to prepare proper meals during your stay. Studio Uno has board games, UK satellite TV and WiFi to assist guests in staying touch with the outside world... should they want to! And the new shower and wash basin are in a separate room to the toilet, which makes better (and quicker!) use of facilities in the mornings before skiing! Guest access The studio is dedicated space for guests, with a 11sqm tranquil terrace and secure large garden for children to play in. The garden also has a communal BBQ and outdoor seating. There is dedicated off road parking - a premium in Winter high season. There is also a Bus Stop for free buses to the ski station and the village, just outside the apartment, although for long stays, your own car is recommended to allow easy access for other ski areas nearby - Morzine, Avoriaz, Les Gets and access to Swiss ski resorts. Other things to note Although the region is famous for it's extensive skiing and winter sports, it is also stunning in the summer months. The weather is normally stable and hot and the area provides loads of sporting and other activities - horse riding, walking, mountain biking, lake swimming, white water rafting and Via Ferrata rock climbing to name but a few! The beautiful market and lake towns of Evian, Thonon, Montreux and Yvoire are all a short drive away.
