The Beach Shack - Point Souttar

Relax and enjoy this classic Aussie beach shack with stunning ocean views and direct access to the beach below. Situated at Point Souttar, Yorke Peninsula, just 2.5 hours from Adelaide, and perfect for couples or small families. Sit back, unwind and take it easy, or explore nearby Innes National Park, the beautiful coastline and surrounding country towns. Sleeping 6 with an open plan kitchen-dining-lounge area plus bathroom and 2 bedrooms, this shack offers the ideal coastal escape. The space Swim, fish, or kayak in the bay, or head out to explore Innes National Park and the countless stunning beaches that surround the Yorke Peninsula in every direction. Discover scenic walking and cycling adventures along Walk the Yorke, wander the unique salt lake trails, or take in the region’s vibrant water tower art trail. If you’ve got a boat, a natural boat ramp is just two minutes up the road. For surfers, there are multiple surf breaks within a 30-minute drive. The Beach Shack sits on a spacious block with plenty of parking at the side and rear. Inside, you’ll find two bedrooms — one with a queen bed and the other with two sets of bunks — comfortably sleeping six. The main living area features an open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge space with two large windows framing sweeping sea views. The lounge includes a comfy suite and TV, while the kitchen is equipped with essential appliances, cookware, cutlery, and a vintage dining table for six. Outdoors, enjoy the views from the front verandah or gather around the BBQ under the side pergola — both areas furnished with tables and chairs, perfect for relaxed alfresco dining. Guest access The entire property is yours to enjoy, so please make yourself at home. The only areas that are off-limits are the locked shed at the rear of the property and a locked cleaning cupboard inside. Aside from that — it’s all yours! Other things to note Please note that the Shack does not have a dishwasher or washing machine. If you need to do laundry during your stay, coin-operated washers and dryers are available for public use at the Point Turton Caravan Park. The Shack runs on rainwater from our tank, which is safe to drink. We do ask guests to use it thoughtfully. If you prefer, we’ve also provided a cask of drinking water for your convenience. Mobile phone reception in the area can be a bit patchy and may come and go. You’ll usually get the best signal at the rear of the Shack, and connecting to the Shack’s Wi-Fi can also help improve reception. The TV isn’t a smart TV but does have a USB and HDMI port. Feel free to bring your Chromecast — just plug it in, connect to our Wi-Fi, and enjoy streaming your favourite shows during your stay.
