Lake Yurt at Dartmoor Yurt Holidays

A traditional Mongolian yurt in its own private and idyllic setting on the banks of a little lake complete with dinghy, in a stunning location on Dartmoor. Lake yurt has a woodburner, double bed, double futon and single futon, kilim rugs and Moroccan lanterns. Walk across the little bridge into your own woodland which is full of bluebells in the spring. You have your own fully equipped rustic kitchen with dining area a few steps from the yurt and your own compost toilet and wood fired shower. The space If you like privacy then Lake Yurt is the perfect place for you. Set between a little lake and a magical woodland, this is all your own private domain. Row the dinghy out on the lake and enjoy the total peace and tranquility. Barbecue delicious dinners on the open fire. Enjoy the comfort of the yurt with its beautiful hand painted doors and poles. You also have your own fully equipped rustic kitchen and dining area next to the yurt and a picnic table by the lake. Plus a hammock and a swing! Guest access We are happy for you to wander round our 26 acre smallholding. From our land you can walk directly onto open moorland where you will see wild ponies and sheep. Come up to the house and meet Alfie the dog who is hugely popular with all our guests or go and say hello to our horses and ponies. You can charge your mobile phone in the barn. Make yourself at home! Other things to note We provide you with a complementary basket of wood for your woodburner and with a starter stash of firewood for the open fire where you can barbecue food or toast marshmallows! If you need extra wood we have bags for sale at £10 per bag. You will need to bring your own duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases and towels. Or we can provide your bed linen for an extra £7.50 per person.
