I noticed the house worked as designed. I wanted to create a kids' area and an adult area. Adults relaxed around the tiki bar & bbq, others on the redwood deck next to the spa and cowboy tub while our favorite music played from speakers in the palm trees around the patio. The kids went between the game room on the other side of the house, to their own pool splashing and having fun over there. Then they all went to the volleyball court where they spent hours. We all gathered to eat around the fire table and dining table. After dinner, the kids returned to the lighted volleyball court and cornhole while we enjoyed the spa and fire pit. It was a great few days. I was pleased it worked so well and felt sharing my experience may help others looking for these amenities in a property. Additional rules We have enjoyed some amazing guests, and they seem to truly enjoy the property.. A majority of guests are very respectful and use common sense. We have a few rules to keep the good vibes going. Just like a hotel check-in, the main guest needs to be present and show their ID prior to any other guest being allowed on the property. Be a good neighbor. Music inside is no worries, outside needs to comply with the Joshua Tree noise ordinance of no noise after 10pm or before 8am. DJ-type equipment, boom boxes, or band equipment is not allowed. The city ordinance regarding nuisance noise applies to all hours, becoming more strict after 10 pm. Aloha House has only a few neighbors, allowing for more opportunity in this area, but there are limits. Please be familiar with Airbnb's party and event policy. No smoking. Guest agrees to $300 fee for evidence of smoking in the house. No pets without prior approval. A $75 pet fee applies. Limit 2 pets. All furniture inside and out needs to be returned to its original position when guests checked in,, otherwise $150 fee applies. We have the highest level of respect for your privacy. By booking, the main guest agrees to the property owner or designated workers to enter the property for house rules violations, routine maintenance on pools, servicing the propane tank, maintenance, building inspection, or to address any complaints. We have a wood-burning fireplace in the family room and a portable one on the patio. The other 4 fire pits and fire table are propane. A good amount of propane is included in the booking; excessive use will be charged on a per-gallon basis. $100 for every 1/2 hour past checkout without prior approval. The main guest agrees to comply with all instructions in the house manual. The host is not responsible for any events beyond their control, including natural disasters, weather events, utility outages or other 3rd-party disruptions. Guests are encouraged to secure travel insurance. Maximum guests is 10; $30/night per extra guest over 9. By booking, the main guest agrees to all applicable terms, rules, local laws and applicable charges regarding this property. Mahalo Guest access Navigation is easiest by entering Aloha Joshua Tree House in googl maps. Part of gaining the privacy and open space is 1/2 mile of graded dirt road to get to Aloha. My neighbor drives a Model 3 with no issues. There is a sign off the main dirt road with the address and an arrow for ease of navigation. Any issues, don't hesitate to contact me. Other things to note Other Details to Note: Aloha House feels like nowhere - yet only seven minutes to Joshua Tree National Park gate, five minutes to groceries, Starbucks, gas. But inside? You're vanished. Wraparound patio, ten surround-sound speakers—playlist follows you. In-ground cowboy tub (epoxy-finish—use as cold plunge or heat available for small fee. Volleyball court lights till midnight. Game room's your fifth bedroom: shuffleboard, ping-pong, blackout curtains, sleeps two more. Pool sits flush with great valley and mountain views— zero neighbors staring. Two-and-a-half acres of palms and boulders next door—hike sunset views straight off the driveway. Three hammocks tucked in the Joshua Trees. Fire pits everywhere. No eyes. Bring dogs.
