A stunning former lighthouse keeper’s cottage, Lighthouse Point has the most amazing views of the lighthouse and dramatic sea views down the Clyde approach, past Bute, towards Arran. Situated at Toward Point in Argyll, this beautiful cottage offers a luxurious stay with views to die for. If you can be tempted away from gazing out of the south facing sunroom, watching the sea, yachts and other marine traffic, it is less than two minutes’ walk to the water. The space Lighthouse Point is a peaceful coastal retreat, ideally located for enjoying the beautiful scenery and wildlife of the area. Just nearby, you’ll often find seals lounging on the rocks, while the coastline offers a number of excellent fishing spots. The Accommodation The cottage is generally arranged over one level, although there is one step into the cottage itself and two small steps into the sunroom. There is one beautifully appointed bedroom with a king-size bed. Please note that the pillows and duvet are feather-filled. (Please request non feathers if desired ) The bathroom is just down the hall , with electric shower. The spacious lounge leads through to a bright and comfortable sunroom, providing a lovely place to relax and enjoy the surroundings , and the most amazing views. The kitchen is fully equipped with: Cooker / oven Microwave Fridge/freezer Dishwasher Washing machine Dishwasher Ninja airfryer Cafetière Outside The cottage has a good-sized garden, with the rear garden fully enclosed. Garden furniture is provided, making it perfect for enjoying meals outdoors on warm, sunny days. There is also plenty of on-site parking. Dogs Welcome Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay. Location The nearby village of Toward is small and peaceful, making Lighthouse Point an ideal base for a relaxing getaway. The village of Innellan is approximately 3 miles away, where you’ll find a pub/hotel and grocery shop. Dunoon is around 7 miles away, offering a wider range of shops, restaurants and amenities, as well as transport connections to Glasgow and beyond. There is also an hourly bus service to Dunoon, with a stop almost immediately outside the cottage. Things to Do There are plenty of activities and attractions locally and nearby, including: Beach walks and coastal walks Fishing Bird watching Boat trips Cycling Botanical gardens Historical sites Mountain biking Hill walking Sailing Swimming pool Gym and sports centre Cinema Pubs and pub food Restaurants Supermarkets and food shops EV Charging There are several EV charging points in and around Dunoon. Please see the last photo in the listing for further details and locations Guest access Guests are welcome to use the entire cottage, as well as both the front and rear gardens. There is plenty of parking available on the property. Guests may park on the hard-standing area and also on the driveway. Please make yourselves at home and enjoy your stay at Lighthouse Point. Other things to note Dogs – Important Information The front garden is not fully enclosed, so dogs may escape if they are let out there. The rear garden, accessed from the sunroom, is fully enclosed and is the safer area for dogs. Please do not leave dogs unattended at any time. If you leave the cottage, your dog or dogs must accompany you. For the safety and consideration of everyone in the area, please keep dogs on a lead at all times, as there are children living nearby. Please also pick up and dispose of any dog fouling immediately. Many thanks for your cooperation and for helping us keep the area pleasant for everyone. Feather Bedding & Cushions Please note that the pillows and duvet on the bed are feather-filled, as are some of the cushions in the lounge. If you have a feather allergy, please let me know before check-in and I will be happy to provide alternative pillows, duvet and cushions.
