"Papaya 1" House, La Palma

Cot and high chair upon request. Pets up to 15 kg (on request) The space The "Papaya 1" house, along with "Casa Papaya 2" and "Casa Maracuya," are part of our beloved "Finca Suculenta." It is a completely renovated old house that is about 200 years old and just 350 meters above sea level. We live on the same property, in a separate house, with our dog Fito and our affectionate cats, who will surely pay you a visit (Beware, allergy sufferers!). It has a separate, private entrance, as well as private outdoor areas. It has all kinds of amenities, such as information about the island, toys, a yoga mat and beach towels (on request), books, board games, and a CD player with a radio, Bluetooth/USB, and a large collection of CDs. There is also Wi-Fi, a smart TV, and heating for days when the temperatures might drop a bit. The house is spread over several floors. The bedroom with a single bed (0.90 m x 2.00 m) and a double bed (1.60 m x 2.00 m) for 3 people and the bathroom are on the lower level. A staircase leads up to the first floor, where there is the kitchen-dining room with a relaxation area. From there, another staircase leads up to the top floor, where there is the beautiful wooden gallery with a double bed (1.50 m x 2.00 m) and the TV area with access to the partially covered terrace. The kitchen (with a table and five chairs) is perfectly equipped with everything you need and has a relaxation corner with an electric fireplace (with a fire effect but without heating). The bedroom has a closet and a large mirror. Both the bedroom and the bathroom have doors with screens to properly ventilate the rooms and ensure the perfect sleeping temperature in both winter and summer. The bathroom has a shower, a large mirror, and a hairdryer. The partially covered and enclosed terrace with beautiful mountain and ocean views is perfect for sunny breakfasts. It has a cozy covered corner with a table, bench and chairs, as well as 2 lounge chairs for sunbathing and a small portable barbecue. "Casa Papaya 1" (about 70 m², not counting the large, partially covered terrace) is perfect for large families! If you're lucky with the weather, you can see the neighboring islands of Tenerife and La Gomera from there. Together with "Casa Papaya 2" (also listed on Airbnb), (about 55 m² plus a large terrace and private garden), which is in the same building, it can accommodate a total of 9 people (children under 12 stay for free), so it's perfect if grandparents or friends are also coming on vacation... Everyone has their own little house, but you stay in the same building. The two units are separated by exterior doors to ensure complete privacy. The washing machine can be used for free, and there are covered clotheslines. Towels, linens, rugs, and kitchen towels can be changed for clean ones as often as you like during your stay. Just let me know. The price does not include toilet paper or trash bags for the stay, but what is needed for the day of arrival will be provided. There is also a small outdoor area with a garden where you can pick aromatic herbs. Your pets are very welcome (please take note of the rules), as long as the space is treated with respect and care. If you wish, I can help you rent an inexpensive car or scooter or tell you about guided tours that go as close as about 130 meters to the new volcano. Guest access The outdoor areas of Papaya 1 are totally private.
