Description
Very comfortable house with nice light, mainly antique furniture, modern bathroom and kitchen, a nice outdoor pergola area overlooking a big green backyard. There is reverse cycle air con.. The space This is a charming heritage style house with modern amenities. Kitchen has gas stovetop, oven, microwave etc - all of which the guests are free to use. .There is a washing machine and clothes dryer HOWEVER, these can only be used during the day as the noise level is too great at night for those sleeping and working late. So please be aware of this and plan ahead - you need to get your laundry washed and dried before nightfall. There is an outdoor clothes line - weather permitting. Guest access Guests have a good sized bedroom with wardrobe space a comfortable double bed with a good mattress. The guest room is at the front of the house and, although on a busy street, the bedroom window is double glazed so quiet. Your bedroom has a smart TV Guests are welcome to and have access to all parts of the house - your bedroom, lounge TV room, back kitchen living area, outside pergola area and you have your own private toilet. The bathroom is shared with us, it is spacious and always tidy and clean. Guests are requested to respect our private area - the main bedroom and the study/bedroom. During your stay We are able to provide main evening meals at a fair price. We are pretty handy at doing various asian dishes or pasta or fish, pork or whatever with veg or salads. Basic breakfast items are supplied - tea or coffee ( stove top Moka machine ) and Nescafe, muesli, porridge and Weetbix. Other things to note As mentioned, drop of of luggage and passengers in the driveway is ok but overnight parking is in a quiet little street 100ms away. We have ourselves parked there overnight for extended periods when we had a third vehicle and neither us nor any guest has had an issue. Responsibility is, naturally, with the guests. Guests please note that a registered guest or guests are not permitted to bring extra people into the house either during the day or at night or for an overnight stay without prior permission from us and introducing these invitees to us on arrival. Invitees, like guests, are required to keep noise down to a minimum at all times particularly at night time. Bernadette especially needs to be on the go early in the mornings so we do need quiet in the house later on in the evenings.
