Delightful Country Cottage

Our country cottage lies within a small hamlet in North East Fife and is the perfect place to relax. Surrounded by open fields, horses, chickens and sheep you can enjoy a 'get away from it all' holiday whilst staying within a short drive from St Andrews, Perth, Dundee and Edinburgh. The space We welcome guests to our beautiful hamlet. In a peaceful location and part of a small friendly village with an enclosed play park opposite the house, ideal for children and adults alike. We have lots of outdoor space with lovely walks on the doorstep. The village is on the Fife Coastal Path. This is a small croft with horses and sheep in the adjoining field. Note that these are fully fenced in. The house comprises a cosy front sitting room with two comfortable sofas Tv with Netflix, Prime etc. This room has a wood burning stove which is perfect on a cool night. Also to the front of the house is a newly installed well equipped cottage style kitchen/ dining room with, dual fuel range cooker with gas hob and electric oven There is a microwave, fridge ( with ice box) dishwasher, coffee machine and washing machine. Please note that there is no freezer other than small icebox. To the rear of the kitchen lies a second small sitting room with a two seater sofa one chair, a selection of books , games, DVDs and puzzles. There is also a TV/DVD player in this room. Also accessed from the kitchen is a small sunroom with sofa, chairs and books. There is access to the front garden and patio area from here. A lovely place to watch the animals and birds. Upstairs there is a bright newly installed airy bathroom with rain head power shower cubicle and separate full size bath. Note the shower has a sliding door with maximum opening width of 380mm. The shower tray is 1m x 90 cm. Also upstairs; is one master bedroom with King size bed and two further double bedrooms with double beds. The master bedroom has lovely views to the east over fields and farmlands. From here you can watch the sheep and horses roam. We will provide wardrobe and drawer space. We also have a selection of Childrens books and lego/duplo etc which we are happy for you to use. Please request this. The cottage is accessed by the front door and attached to the house gable is the small sunroom [ previously mentioned] with sofa and two chairs. With lovely open aspect this is the perfect place to sit and relax. It should be noted that this room is unheated in the colder months. Please note that there will be occasional activity in the field while attending to the animals but your privacy will be respected. We have a little grey cat who wanders but hopefully wont disturb guests. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING FACILITIES AT THE COTTAGE BUT THERE IS CHARGING NEARBY IN CUPAR ( 6 miles) Guest access Our guests can access the house through the front door and have full use of the garden to the front of the house. There is a garden table and chairs for outside dining. The whole house is available for your use with the exception of one room at the rear of the house accessed by ourselves through a separate outside back entrance. We may need to use this room on occasion but will absolutely respect your privacy and make you aware of the likely times this may occur. Other things to note We have a recent newly installed kitchen which unlike many holiday cottages is very well equipped for cooking. We can supply some logs for the stove and there is air source heat pump central heating which can be adjusted for your comfort. We are happy to accept one well behaved dog by arrangement but request that they be kept in the downstairs part of the house.
