A fabulous heritage house near the centre of Utrecht. Unique vast garden, a house we love to live in and are very happy to rent out when we are on our holiday abroad. Characteristic neighbourhood, close to station, city center, main roads. Shops around the corner. 10 minutes to the city center, 25 minutes by car or train will take you to central Amsterdam! It is a beautiful and attractive house with a huge garden for urban concepts. Although it is close to everything, the location is ideal, very quiet, on the Merwedecanal (in which you can swim! right in front of the door! lots do!!) no through traffic, on a cul-de-sac and-since the new road tunnel-the sound of the highways is absent. Utrecht needs no recommendation, Lombok is the most colourful district of Utrecht with more than 100 nationalities. At the "Kanaalstraat", virtually around the corner, you can enjoy it to the full: Turkish, Persian, Indian, Moroccan, Surinamese, it's all represented in shops and restaurants. The "Yummy-top100"-restaurant "Jasmijn & Ik" can also be found around the corner, Oriental food at an unprecedented high level and also affordable. And on "crawling distance" you will find the best pub of the world, "Kanaalzicht" is our second living room, and you can also have a nice lunch. Guest access The house and gardens, it's all yours, the lot! Other things to note For longer stays, we invite our guests to do simple maintenance on the garden: water the plants if necessary, feed the chickens and perhaps mow some grass.
