Starting in February 2026, we have introduced “Hado tatami mats” in our guest room, made with special rush grass from Fukuoka Prefecture, which has extraordinary healing properties. Rush grass is a medicinal herb, so to maximize its effects, the farmer spent over 200 million yen(=$1.3 million) on research and development to create these incredible tatami mats. Experiences and physical sensations are important. ========= [About the Rooms] You'll sleep on a futon in a 12-tatami Japanese-style room. The room is air-conditioned. The large windows offer a spacious view, with views of the cool JR Chikuhi Line trains and the cherry blossoms at Sasayama Park, a popular local hangout spot. [About the Kitchen and Dining Room] You're free to use the kitchen to cook. Some guests purchase locally grown ingredients from the Itoshima Farmers Market and enjoy their meals there. We provide a full range of cooking utensils, cutlery, and seasonings, so please feel free to use them. The kitchen sink is equipped with a water purifier called "Soryu-sui." The water is safe to drink. Not only does it remove harmful substances, it also prevents oxidation, promoting internal rejuvenation. [About the Toilet] There is one Western-style toilet with a heated toilet seat. As we only accommodate one group per day, it will not be used by other guests, but staff may use it. Thank you for your understanding. [About the Bathroom] This is a guest-only bath. A shower and bathtub are available. The shower head is also equipped with "Soryu-sui," which reduces the damage caused by residual chlorine on the skin. We also have body-friendly amenities such as organic shampoo and additive-free soap. Please feel free to use them. There is a washing machine in the bathroom, which can be used for a fee.
