Mays Garden Cottage is the perfect country retreat for those wanting to explore the many attractions of Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. Sitting within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and on the door step of the National Arboretum and Badminton estate home to the world renowned horse trials, the cottage is ideally placed in the tranquil Wiltshire village of Sopworth. Available for short or longer breaks. Welcome pack provided. Sorry but no pets or all male groups allowed. The space Ideally suited to a couple or small family, the cottage can accommodate a maximum of 4 people (including infants) in the 2 double bedrooms. Both rooms have a standard double-bed, built-in wardrobe and bedside cabinets. Whether you are looking to stay for a couple of nights or longer you can be assured of a warm welcome and an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Sorry but no all male groups of more than 2 are allowed. The property is a delightful fully equipped two double bedroom detached Cotswold Stone cottage set in the peaceful and friendly village of Sopworth. The cottage has recently undergone substantial renovations and improvements and is furnished to a very high standard. It comprises an open plan lounge and fully fitted kitchen, small dining area as well as the two bedrooms and bathroom. A high chair can be provided upon request at time of booking. A separate charge of £10 per stay to be paid on arrival. Guests can enjoy free use of the washing machine (please bring your own laundry detergent). We do politely ask guests not to cook curry and/or spicey food as the odour can be difficult to remove before the next guests arrive. We also ask guests to ensure that they put their washing up away and empty the bins before departure. The cottage is ideal for all local attractions and right on the door step for Badminton Horse trials! Private parking for 2 cars only. NO COMMERCIAL VEHICLES! Upon arrival there will be a welcome pack ready and waiting for you. This includes:- * Bread * Milk * Bottled Water * Butter * Tea * Coffee * Biscuits or Cake Guest access Guests have their own private access as well as full use of the Cottage and garden. Parking is on the concrete hard standing adjacent to the property. Other things to note Ideally located, Mays Garden Cottage is perfect for exploring the many attractions that this central location has to offer. Enjoy a day in the Roman City of Bath (only eighteen miles away), visit the historic dockyard at Gloucester, stroll around Westonbirt National Arboretum (just four miles away), browse the shops or enjoy a day at the races in Cheltenham (thirty miles), wander around Tetbury (home to Highgrove and just five miles away) or visit Bristol, Malmesbury and the many pretty quintessentially English villages of the Cotswolds. The choices are endless! For those who enjoy being outside, bring your bike and enjoy cycling the little lanes or lace up your walking boots and take to the Cotswolds hills. Whatever your interest, the area has an abundance of great days out, from outdoor adventures, to historic houses and gardens, as well as cities that will satisfy both shoppers and historians alike.
