Description
Ultra clean Cosy Room in hi tech modern Penthouse Flat with YOUR OWN bathroom and SHARED living room, balcony and kitchen. Ranked 10th best from over 28,000 private rooms in London by AirDNA in July 2017! Ranked 28th in Sept 2018. Large beautiful terrace with views across London! Mins from Canary Wharf / O2 / Excel and 3 mins to tube. Flexible check in/out. FREE unlimited bottled water, Baked Pastries and PORTABLE WIFI. Time-saving Honesty Bar! Your home from home with an in-house guide! The space What makes a Great Airbnb?.......check and read the reviews......if the reviews onlly mention the place then you're renting nothing more than a Hotel......a great Airbnb experience will always mention the host and how they enriched your stay. The room has double bed with wall to wall mirrored wardrobe about 3m wide by 60cm deep by 2.3m high and a modern hideaway desk for office work. The ad to be clear is NOT for the entire flat ( as there is another room which I live in the flat )but you can use the entire flat. For those that have not truly used Airbnb, think of it like it's your flat and I am your flatmate for when you are here. Every seasoned Airbnb guest has ranked it as their best experience. We aim to set the benchmark for everyone else to follow. If its your first time booking on Airbnb, check that cancellations are fully flexible and deposits are low or zero as are cleaning fees especially for Room only bookings. As at July 2017, this room has been rated 10th of all private room listings ( not entire home listings ) in the whole of London which number over 28,000. Joint 14th in August 2017. 21st/26000+ in February 2018 as independently compiled by AirDNA ( a company that sells big data for all airbnb listings ) Thanks for everyone that has ever stayed here for your ratings and reviews, we really really do appreciate it. Every little thing that I had ever needed to waste time on buying while on holiday is here, be it oyster/travel cards, Portable WIFI, printing, toiletries, water etc... If you like to travel light and saving time and money is important then this is it. Everything that every guest has ever asked for that wasn't catered to has been added. All you need to do is bring your toothbrush and enjoy London. Wherever you stay in London make sure its within 5 mins walk of a Zone 1 or 2 Tube station not overground/DLR station. And make sure its North of the River Thames (exception is London Bridge). Make sure you don't have to take any buses to get to the station as they can be unreliable. Other locations ( optimised for travel ) to stay would be around St Johns Wood station, Baker street or London Bridge station. This flat is 23mins door to door direct to Bond street. 19mins door to door direct to Big Ben. In terms of travel links there are very few better locations ( solely due to the Jubilee Tube Line ). The main tourist attractions are around Westminster, Tower Hill, Leicester Square, London Bridge, Camden of which 3 are on the Jubilee Tube Line. Please avoid Luton Airport if you can when planning flights, its a pita to get to from anywhere in London by train or car. Heathrow Airport will take a minimum of 45min to 60mins to get to central London INITIALLY by train or tube ( you would then change tubes lines to wherever you stay ) Gatwick ( fast by train, pita by car ) and Stansted slightly faster by train or car. Fastest is City Airport( both for check in/out and travel times 6mins). Free printouts ( or you can print you own ) of local/london maps of where to go, how to get there what to pay or order which will save you loads in both time and money. Most not found in any travel book or companion or even tripadvisor. When Tripadvisor allowed paid reviews it became close to useless. As an example, The Seashell of Lisson Grove has hands down the best fish and chips in London nowhere comes close or could come close ( The Golden Chippy in Greenwich and Poppies off brick lane both distant 2nds ). Its a function of the number of times they change the oil and how they literally throw chips away after x number of minutes and their detailed method of battering their cod and the fact that they don't have rent to pay. Tripadvisor listing is over 1000... i used to own restaurants but forget that just ask any London black cab! Useful Local knowledge is always key to getting the best out of any city in the world. As a food tip DO NOT GO to: -Burger and Lobster ( its ok 6/10 ) -Flat Iron ( only beak street branch 7/10 ) -Duck and Waffle ( food is ok, small terrace is nice during summer, oh the best part about it is the nosebleed elevator ride up other than that way overated ) -If going to Dishoom only go to the Kings Cross branch ( they have some dishes not in the other branches ) its about an 7/10. Its sad when tourists use tripadvisor and come away thinking that the food selection in London is poor. I would not recommend these restaurants as they do not offer value at all and there are far far better places for any budget! For me to help, you'll have to let me know what you like, some are in London for the concerts, theatre, just shopping, the restaurants, pubs, the football grounds/matches, musicals, sightseeing, clubbing or on business. If its in London I will know about it, so you will get the best out of your time here. I will steer you clear of places that locals avoid as you want to get the best out of your time here. I will guide you to excellent places even if you're on a budget. Now back to the room..... The room has: -2 global worldwide electrical sockets 110v to 240v in the room -Free PORTABLE 4G WIFI/MIFI data device dongle ( 9 hours before battery runs out ) for use outside the house especially for non-UK visitors to the UK so you're always connected. - Fiber Optic WIFI connection while you are in the flat. -8 USB intelligent smart fast charging ports for mobile phones ipads etc -Wireless charging pad for the latest Android phones -Apple iwatch magnetic wireless charger dock -Portable UE Boom 2 bluetooth wireless waterproof speaker -Portable USB power bank/battery charger in the room for you to borrow and use when you are out and about enough for 4 complete charge cycles for 1 phone. -Dyson state of the art hairdryer ( nothing faster/better/more expensive ) -GHD Platinum Hair straightener ( the best GHD makes ) -2 matador pocket ground blankets for that important picnic ( Primrose hill comes to mind ) - a feminine emergency box with a multitude of supplies and painkillers - an adult emergency box - First aid kid and Lifepak CR plus defibrillator AED in the house! - 2 umbrellas for when it rains -bed trays and lap trays in the room if you want to surprise your significant other. -Free chocolates/snacks/sweets in the room on arrival, amount and type dependent on duration of stay and whats available -Free oven baked croissants with a multitude of spreads -Free access to unlimited big or small bottles of mineral in your room, fridge and living room cupboard, don't pay £1-£2 a bottle and saves you time and energy buying water. -Free access to all the Dolce Gusto drinks you can muster both hot and cold. -Free access to all the hot teas you can drink. -Laser Printer in the living room to print all the tickets/maps/info you want. -Honesty Bar with over £300 worth of drinks in your room should you require it ( its a zero profit experiment ) but for your convenience. Most things you wouldn't even see in any 7 star hotel anywhere in the world! The bed has an Orthopedic mattress with 5 star hotel sourced sheets. There are 4 hotel sourced pillows, 2 firm and 2 soft. 10 x Zero Twist Hydro-cotton Large Bath sheets and 8 Standard Towels of the same quality are provided within the wardrobe. I do this purely for fun and the best technology that can be provided is provided everything and much more that I have ever experienced in £700 per night hotels is here. There are more essentials in the bathroom than you can dream to use. So please use what you can and leave the rest for the next person. I guarantee there is not a single place on Airbnb that has more than £2000 of portable tech in the room for your use let alone bottles of perfume just for your sole use. With over £20k of art in the flat for you to enjoy, this project was never done for any profit. Its pure fun and once it stops being fun its when the listing will end. There will certainly be bigger rooms on Airbnb but definitely none with the amenities that we provide to use during your stay. The potable MIFI alone has saved our guests over £100s in data costs during each stay. There is a 32 inch Samsung Led Smart wireless TV in the room with KODI/XMBC for movies TV shows and other more adult streams. All FREE!!! It also has Miracast chromecast and Airplay for those that need to mirror/cast their phone/PC screens for work/play. There is a HP Colour laser printer in the flat for all your personal or business needs. Feel free to use unless you're printing a Harry Potter Book! Most people use this for ticket bookings or printing maps and directions. And your sole use/PRIVATE/own/yours only access to a large modern double bathroom with bathtub opposite your room door with extensive complimentary toiletries( shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, mouthwash*, Einstein lip balm*, cotton buds, hair spray, perfume, deodorant, cotton pads, cotton balls, deodorant, toothpaste etc...) *=always new. Full use of Living Room, Kitchen and Terrace basically everything except the other room in the apartment/flat. To be clear you have access to the entire flat except for my room, I might or might not be there but I do live there (my room has its own bathroom for myself) feel free to come and go as you please, at anytime you please as you will have the keys for the duration of your stay. Feel free to cook, watch movies, play music anything that you would normally do in your own home. Make as much or as little noise as you desire. You never have to feel you're intruding, what is mine is yours while you are here. The flat is always ultra ultra clean and has a nice calm energy to it. There is a 24hr Concierge for post ( free free to send stuff to the flat like football/theater ticket bookings etc) and monitored security so its ultra safe as well! There are only 5 new developments in Canning town ( Hallsville Quarter, The Sphere and Aurelia, Lumire being the other 4, although all on main roads ) but only 1 other has 24hr on site security and concierge. The latest available Live TV, Movie or TV series internet streams using KODI on a 50 inch TV with personal headphones if you're watching stuff late at night (this is in the living room) otherwise there is the same set up in the room. A kitchen with pots and pans, baking tins, kettle, toaster, microwave, oven, hob, fridge freezer pull out larders. Whether you're cooking a stir fry or baking a cake it has everything you need. You have a Dolce Gusto Machine with 8 coffee selections, 1 chocolate, 3 cold drink selections and multiple standard teas selections feel free to drink as much as you want. If you need to make teas or coffee all the stuff is in the kitchen feel free to use to your hearts content. There are complimentary Waitrose Breakfast Croissants/Pain Au Chocolate/Pain Au Raisin in the freezer for baking (20mins) if you want in the morning. There are jams/peanut butter/marmalade/honey/butter/nutella if you need it. I don't buy bread or milk anymore due to too much wastage as people's preference for white/brown/gluten free/fully skimmed/semi skimmed differs. There is a shop 1 minute away across the road for this which opens at 7am. Check in and check out times are fully flexible just ask. Feel free to arrive from 7am to leave bags. If you need to leave stuff here on your check out day to take much later in the day or night feel free to do so. Normal Check in is after 2pm and check out is 12 noon but feel free to leave your stuff here on your last day to take later. A 300 sq feet terrace ( one of the largest in E16 ) where you can enjoy great views over the Canary wharf skyline! There is lift access and permit parking around the block, I can supply whole day parking permits if you need ( these are £5 for full 24hours ) there are also 6 free bays on the road in front of block but they are not guaranteed. There is a gym 6 mins walk away if you require it ( £25 for a 5 day pass or £10 per go ) There is P90X and Body Combat DVDs in the apartment with up to 30kg resistance bands, yoga mat and block, push up stands, pull up bars and 2 adjustable 12.5kg dumbbells for in house fitness work. The washing machine, clothes dryer and dishwasher can be used anytime! Heating and hot water is constantly on so no cold rooms ever! State of the art no burn high pressure steam iron if you have an ironing fetish. Its is a 4 mins walk both to a Jubilee line tube and DLR station in Zone 2 hence saving you travelling time and money. The Jubilee line tube is also towards the eastern end of its tube line hence it is never jam packed when initial boarding even at peak hours going either east or west while also being the second fastest line after the central line. The flat is very quiet as it is one road parallel to the main road overlooking the Holiday Inn express in Canning town. Once you book I will send you pre arrival information, maps and tips. This will contain how to get here from all the 6 Airports and also from all the major overground train stations if you are travelling from somewhere in the UK. Guest access Guests have access to all areas except my room ( theres only 2 bedrooms in the flat of which one is mine ) and vice versa otherwise feel free to use whatever is in the flat whenever you feel like it. During your stay As much or as little as you like, we have so far hosted 23 honeymoons, 15 odd anniversaries, countless people surprising their other halves and people with O2 events and Excel exhibitions to go to. If you ask nicely and am staying for more than a four days I might give you a FREE 3 hour night tour of London which funnily is being charged at £150 and above per person by "Airbnb City Hosts". More than happy to recommend the best spots in London to see, eat, shop, party, drink or just explore for every budget. There is probably no bar/club/restaurant/tourist attraction that i have not been to in London. If you are looking for local knowledge around London and the fastest or most efficient way to do stuff I am more than happy to help as i think that is where you would save loads of time and money for your trip. Other things to note If your stay is more than a couple of days and you have booked quite far ahead and require an Oyster Card I can load one up and send it to you and you can pay me when you get here. There is a £5 deposit for any new card but this will be refunded when you return the card at your last train stop/station when you leave. I would normally top up with £30 of credit to begin with. This would save you the 20mins to 45mins of getting/loading a card at your arrival station due to the queues. If you're staying across/over Friday afternoon the cleaner will do your ironing as well if you have any! Also if you are staying for 7 days or more there is a double sofa bed in the living room if you have guests visiting for a night or 2. The best hotel I have stayed at so far is The Scarlett in Cornwall which is miles ahead of any 5 star hotel in London and possibly the world and we aim to better that . And we have stayed at many 5-6 star hotels like Lucknam Park or Melia ME hotels in Spain which pale in comparison to what you get here although the room might be bigger.
