Hideaway Cottage is truely unique and perfectly located within the exclusive Clifton Hill Area of Brighton, just a short walk from the Town Centre, Seven Dials, Beach and Brighton station. Hideaway Cottage sleeps 6 guests, please be aware no parties or gatherings are allowed and Pets are charged as an extra. There is a secluded small garden for those wanting an outside space, a fabulous open-plan living area with magnificent period features as well as modern kitchen and 3 beautiful bedrooms. The space Hideaway Cottage has been designed with relaxation and enjoyment in mind and is a bright, modern, spacious cottage. Sleeping It sleeps 6 guests very comfortably with six single beds or they can be zipped and linked together to make two Super King beds and one king size, or a mixture of both. The Cactus and Flamingo bedrooms on the first floor have either two single beds or one Super King bed when linked together with side tables and wardrobes in each room. In the third bedroom (White Room), on the ground floor, there are two single beds which can also be zipped and linked together to make a King double bed. There is a bathroom upstairs with bath/shower as well as a downstairs powder room with basin and loo. Please note this property is charged according to the number of guests that stay so please be accurate with your booking details. Extra guests will be charged. Kitchen The kitchen is fully equipped with a double oven, dish washer, 5 gas hob burner, microwave, kettle, toaster and breakfast bar seating area. Heating The house is centrally heated with a combination boiler with thermostat which monitors temperatures and hot water throughout the house. Living Space In the main living space there is a 45”LED smart TV with DVD player as well as WiFi access throughout with ethernet connection in two of the main rooms. There are some dvds to watch and a few board games and books. We also have included a Wii console with a few games as well. There is also a comfortable designer 3 piece sofa suite and a dining table with 6 x Eames style chairs. Garden There is a private walled 'sun trap' garden for secluded relaxation and a true peacefulness and tranquility to the location. You would never realise you were a short walk from the centre of the city. History The cottage was designed and built as part of the prestigious Clifton Terrace development and boasts beautiful original features and a large open plan living area which used to be a ball room. Originally built part of a Regency hotel in Clifton Terrace, this unique guest house and ballroom was built circa 1900. Musicians sat in the arched alcove on the ground floor, to play for the hotel guests to dance to. Guest access The house is centrally located and close to Brighton's main train station with links to London and the South. There is parking at the station and also bus stops connecting you to all routes throughout the local area. Walking to town and the seafront is straightforward. Go down the hill towards the sea and you are two streets from the Clock Tower (the centre of the shopping district). Go down a bit further and you are at the seafront. There are Social Bicycles which can be hired throughout the city through the SoBi app. As it is city center there is on street paid parking however this can be a bit pricey and is restricted to four hours. There are local NCP car parks which are around 5-10 mins walk away. Alternatively there are local park and ride schemes or parking apps such as ‘Just Park’ where you can park on private driveways. Other things to note Please be aware the Hideaway is hard to find so please follow instructions in house manual for deliveries and takeaways otherwise you may not receive your items We do allow pets but we ask a charge of £20 per pet per stay and also that they are house trained. If you want to alter the dates of your booking there will be a rebooking fee required. If you would like early check in at 1pm then this is available for £25. Late check out at midday is also available for £25 (dependant on our cleaner). Please ask if you would like to add either of these to your booking. For longer stays we offer a change over service during your stay for £65 which includes new linen change and cleaning of the property. Just let us know when you book if you would like to book this service. A travel cot, when requested, can be supplied.
