An ideal base for touring the Sunny South East, or just enjoying the tranquil surroundings. “Kirby’s” is fully equipped for a comfortable holiday in magnificent Irish countryside. The space Kirby's is a traditional Irish stone-built cottage set in green, tree-lined pastures in the South East of Ireland. It is one of three cottages in the grounds of 300 year old Fruit Hill House where Susan and Richard live with their family, and are on hand to help and advise about things to do and see in the area. Wexford, Waterford and Kilkenny are all within easy driving distance, as are the 14 sandy and unspoiled beaches of the Hook peninsula. The cottage is bright and airy, fully equipped to a high standard, and decorated with stylish simplicity. Accommodation consists of one double bedroom with a 5 ft king size bed, and a pretty twin room; shower room; kitchen/living room. Wifi by portable modem.Electric storgage heaters, an open fire and well-stocked book shelves together with tv and dvd make for cosy evenings at any time of year. Nearby is the award-winning restaurant, Aldridge Lodge, and there are shops and pubs a couple of miles away in Campile village. Nearest town is New Ross with its historic ship, the Dunbrody, the Ros tapestry, and a fantastic public swimming pool. JF Kennedy Arboretum is a lovely park for a stroll with magnificent trees and views, and the Hook Lighthouse, Europe's oldest, is well worth a visit.
