Description
Our light and bright Paddington apartment is tucked away in a quiet cul de sac but very close to the buzz of Oxford St, fashionable William St and the very many pubs, bars and restaurants that Paddington is renowned for. Look out over the quaint Paddington rooftops and down to vibrant Five Ways. You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to dining. And explore the galleries and antiques all within a short stroll. There is a queen size bed and a double. Perfect for couples or friends. The space It is freshly renovated and light and bright. It also houses some fabulous art. There is a stove, oven, microwave and spacious fridge. There are two built in wardrobes with full length mirrors and ample hanging space. The apartment is north facing making it perfect for morning light and cool afternoons. It is lovely and quiet - a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Paddington! A short walk to Paddington Markets, Centennial Park, the SCG, Fox Studios and the Entertainment Quarter. Paddington is nestled neatly between Woollahra, Edgecliff, Rushcutters Bay, Surry Hills and Darlinghurst. Guest access I will endeavour to meet you to provide you with the key - and also to explain some of the quirks. If this isn't possible a key will be left outside for you in the lock box. It is a security key, so you can not lose it. Doing so means replacing the lock at a charge of $250. There is a shared laundry to which I will leave the key. There is on-street parking only. 2hrs free, 8am til 10pm. There are two untimed spots right outside the building- no guarantees you will snag one of those though! Other things to note There are to be no parties. It is a quiet building and the residents respect each other. You also need to be very mindful of the lady downstairs who hears everything! No high heels, boots or stomping inside. I have free to air TV only and reception can sometimes be tricky. Mostly though it is fine - just scratchy if particularly windy. As it is an old building there is no common antenna so I just have old fashioned bunny ears. Whilst the building is mostly very peaceful and quiet there have been some recent sales in the block so as a result, some sporadic renovations. Unfortunately this is beyond my control and something I cannot guarantee won’t happen during your stay. In Paddington generally you will find that people are updating their terraces, shops and pubs. The rule for Woollahra Council is 7am-7pm weekdays for building works. In our building, 9am-5pm. The garden on the terrace has recently been removed and decking laid making it look like a deck. IT IS NOT A DECK. Please DO NOT STAND UP outside. There are some cushions temporarily placed there so that you can SIT outside. The wall is low and it is dangerous to stand. There is no off-street parking. I am asked this all the time and unfortunately cannot provide it. There are two lucky untimed spots directly outside the building, but it is a race to get them. Everywhere else it is 2 hour parking 8am-10pm. It is free. As stated above, the loss of a house key will result in a $250 charge. Strictly no pets.
