The chalet is located in a very rural setting, at the bottom of our wooded garden, and you can enjoy absolute quiet and a panorama of woods and meadows with grazing foals, mares and horses as well of course as the unpolluted night skies of the Medoc! Guest access Saint Vivien de Medoc, is 2 km away, and is a busy little shopping village with, in July and August, a Sunday evening market featuring open tables, food and wine stands, music and a relaxed atmosphere; a pretty little port on the estuary of the Gironde with restaurants and kayaking; two weekly markets which is one of the best in the area; pharmacy, doctor and medical centre which include pedicure and physio; two tennis courts and a sports centre. Other local activities include horse riding and many easy cycle routes and especially surfing on the Atlantic coast famed for its miles of dunes and sandy beaches The summer, there are also daily and very popular markets in Montalivet and Soulac where you can lunch on white wine and local oysters.
