Eco-lodges in unspoilt Maremma

The space Montarlese Eco-lodges is positioned on a top of a sweet hill in the center of a farm of 37 hectares with grapevines and olive trees. Our guests love the truly unique panorama, from the sea to the mountain; the absolute silence and simple beauty of the stone farmhouses and of the surrounding nature. Besides, they appreciate what we do to protect the environment (homes restored in bioarchitecture, exclusive usage of renewable energies, only natural building materials,…) and last but not the least, the luscious breakfast with our freshly baked cakes and bread. We are a farm, not an hotel, but comfort of our guests is equally important to us although we interpret it in a different way: no TVs in rooms or wi-fi but books, a telescope to appreciate our black and clear night sky, an healthy home with no chemicals and many more caring details to our guests. Montarlese is at 20 minutes drive away from the Saturnia spa (private and public ones), 30 minutes from the middle Age villages of Pitigliano, Capalbio and from the emerald sea of the Argentario peninsula. The Etruscan archeological park in Vulci or the Maremma Natural park in Alberese are just 40 minutes away. Finally there are many possibilities to discover the area by bike, horses, canoeing. Temperatures are always mild, but our favourite months are May/June and September. In July and August max temp can reach the high thirties, but at night our eco-lodges cools down a lot. It seldom rains during the summer. We serve dinner if booked in advance, otherwise there are at least twenty fine Osterie and restaurant within a 15 minutes drive. When arriving to our eco-lodges we supply to guests a suggested list of restaurants and things to see or to do We welcome all guests but we think that to enjoy at best the atmosphere at Montarlese guests should stay at least a couple of nights. Young couples enjoys a lot the cozy and romantic atmosphere of bedrooms, the relaxing pool with salt water or the many hidden corners in the private park. We are not on a main traffic road, silence is a value for us and so we do not think to be well suited for those travellers in search of a place to sleep near a road. Apartment offer a bedroom for two person and a living room with an extra bed. Bathroom with shower and private patio to dine and relax outside. Alternatively we offer bedrooms with en-suite bathroom.
