Description
The house is very spacious and has beds for up to 9 people in 3 bedrooms. In the screened and cozy backyard you will find a terrace with outdoor fireplace and outdoor furniture. There is also a large lawn with a good space for play and fun. The house is fully furnished and well equipped. 2 large bathrooms. Regular renovation in recent years means that the house is in excellent condition. The house was built in the 1880s and is located at the northern end of Eidsgata - a pleasant main street with beautiful wooden houses, shops and restaurants. Here it is a short distance to everything. The space Locally, the building is called "Sjappen House" (or "Olsen House") after kiosk owner Olaf Olsen who ran a shop on the ground floor in the 60s and 70s. We bought the house in 2021 and use it as a holiday home. We usually live in Oslo. The cozy town of Nordfjordeid is located in the heart of Nordfjord. A central starting point for experiences throughout the region. Feel free to search for "Sjappenhuset" on Insta for more pictures of the house and experiences in the nearby area. A stone's throw away from the house you will find the Viking Age Museum Sagastad, as well as Sagaparken with a beach. The grocery store Extra is 100 meters from the residence, and 50 meters further away you will find Bunnpris which is open on Sundays throughout the year. All shops, restaurants, Vinmonopol and cafes can be found within a short walking distance. During the day, the beauty salon on the street level can offer foot care, manicure, pedicure, etc. if you are interested in it (appointment can be made at 906 26 143). Smoking and pets are not allowed. Guest access It is possible to park in front of the building (either in Eidsgata or in parking spaces towards Sjøgata), but feel free to park the car at the back of the house. There is plenty of space for parking two cars. To enter this back street, you can turn up from Eidsgata/Sjøgata at the parking lot at Moengården. Then turn left (in front of the burial mound). Nordfjordeid is a central starting point for great nature experiences in summer and winter. The beautiful golf course at Stokkenes is 2 minutes by car (the same for Eidselva and Norsk Fjordhestsenter) and the ski lift at Harpefossen is less than 15 minutes. The village is surrounded by beautiful mountains that you can climb starting from the center. Other towns in the region, such as Stryn, Sandane, Volda/Ørsta and Måløy, are within about three quarters of an hour's drive. The trip to Selje and Stadtlandet (including the surfing villages of Hoddevik and Ervik) is also recommended. Other things to note Aircon is in the form of a heat pump in the main floor. It provides comfortable cooling on hot days. There are no suitable cooling units in the bedrooms. We make the beds based on the number of guests coming. Details of which rooms/beds will be used will be agreed upon before check-in. The host will arrange for cleaning.
