A cozy double room, to visit sights in and around Dehradun. Mussoorie is 45 minutes away. Rishikesh and Haridwar are an hour and a half away. Make us your base and go for forest walks, read books enjoy a cup of coffee in our rear verandah overlooking the forest, visit the Tibetan Sakya Monastery opposite our house and explore the area. The space The room faces the garden. The main Rajpur Road makes it easy to access other parts of the town. There are lovely restaurants ten minutes walk away on the lovely tree lined avenue. The Pacific Mall is a five minute ride or a twenty minute walk. There is access to the garden, the roof and the woods at the back of the house. The roof is a good place to do early morning yoga or watch the mountains and perhaps the stars at night. It is bird watching paradise. We often get bird watchers. Guest access The garden, the roof, the patio overlooking the forest where one can read watch birds have coffee or breakfast are all available to the guests. If you want to get a bit adventurous there is a bamboo grove down at the back of the house. You are welcome to help in gardening if you have the desire or inclination. There is free Wi-Fi. There is also a kitchen available. During your stay We love interacting with our guests and helping them with information if they so desire. They can sit in the back verandah overlooking the forest or look at the stars and do some bird watching from the roof. We have a small library with books on spirituality, birds and trees along with fiction novels and some non fiction. We have had bird and nature waters stay with us, some hikers along with artists and musicians. There is lot to inspire one and all. The Tibetan Sakya Monastery opposite our house, The Ramakrishna Mission further along the road, The Anandmayi Ma Ashram next to it or the Pacific Mall ten minutes away from us. Umpteen restaurants nearby spoil one for choice. Other things to note You could bring your binoculars if you are a bird watcher although we have a pair too which guests can borrow. A Yoga mat is handy but again you are welcome to borrow one from the guest house.
