We built the cabin to a high specification, it is in the middle of the forest with incredible views down to the loch, a burn running close to the front door and all the hill walking and wildlife around you that you would expect in Scotland. The cabin has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open plan kitchen, living/dining room. Perfect for nature lovers, hillwalkers and anyone looking for a space to decompress and disconnect for a while. The space You will have to drive 3 miles down a forestry track to reach this cabin. For this reason we do not recommend it for people who have very fancy cars or those that are very low slung. There will be potholes and uneven surface. We are very used to it and it doesn't bother us but if you have never driven off a tarmac road the track might not be for you. You definitely don't need a 4x4 vehicle (we don't drive one) but if you have one or are hiring a car it may be more comfortable for you. The cabin has huge windows and brings the outside in. Everything inside is shiny and new as the build was completed in 2016 - kitchen, bathrooms, walls etc. The furniture is not brand new but it is extremely comfortable and tastefully decorated (see my flats in Edinburgh for an idea). Two lochs - Loch Doine and Loch Voil are within walking distance. The forestry tracks on both sides of the Lochs are wonderful for walking and cycling. Guest access The whole space is yours. Other things to note The water supply comes from the hill. It tastes incredible and comes through 2 filters. It is naturally yellowish in colour which can look a bit odd but don't worry - it is drinkable. We have been drinking it for many generations. On departure we ask you to take your rubbish and recycling to the bins which are located at the main entrance of the forest (I.e - on your way out).
